Best/Worst Fast Food Currently In America?

The cost is a little higher because they use "real" chicken that they have to batter and cook instead of other fast food restaurants that come pre-battered and they just stick it in grease.
Rose, the lemonade is so good because it is freshly squeezed by hand. I used to work for Chick-Fil-A and it took FOREVER to make it because of the "by hand" thing. But, yes . . . it is GREAT!!

Posted: 6/19/07 at 9:31pmI was, for some odd reason, craving McDonald's like crazy last week. I felt so guilty. I hadn't had it in so long. I don't think I've ever met a French fry I didn't like, though.

Beware of Chick-Fil-A.
Their founder is a far-right conservative Baptist (that's why they're never open on Sundays) and gives a lot of money to groups with similar beliefs, including Focus on the Family.
So when you buy that chicken sandwich, you're also giving a few cents to James Dobson.
And the best fast food? Chickpea, without a doubt.
The worst? Arby's.

Exactly Calvin. Chick Fil A makes a great chicken sandwich but LOUSY policy.
And I love In-and-Out but it's hardly "Fast" food. It takes FOREVER to get anything!
I vote for Wendys for speed/quality compromise!

I wouldn't call Fuddrucker's fast food, either. I mean, don't you have to fix up your own damn hamburger there? I haven't been to one in ages.
I also love Better Burger's veggie burger, but, I don't consider it fast food, either.

Fast Food = Drive Thru, IMO.
Calvin - Ugh, I dislike ChickPea.

Yeah! Now Arbys is quality fast food!
I like Popeyes too.
Quizno's is pretty good. Subway restaurants always smell like someone died in there. It stinks! Quizno's never smells like that.

CHICK-FIL-A you order some fries and they're...what? $2.50? $3.00? They give you like three waffle fries in the box!
Whataburger is a little pricy but the food is koo.

I forgot about Whataburger. I don't remember much about it.
I did like Sonic back in the day.

The only fast food I've had in the past few months has been Baja Fresh. I love their grilled shrimp (with fresh lime).
Nathan's wins for best french fries!
Actually, I have best fries tied with a place in Massapequa, Long Island called All American Burger. The burgers, fries and knishes are absolutely delicious and it's inexpensive to boot. It used to be an actual drive-in in the 1950s and is an LI institution.

You guys are killing me. I know all this stuff is bad for me but well there is a place in my heart for McDonalds, BK, Wendys, KFC, and White Castle... and my love for Long John Silvers will never die.
I'm not sure this is thread where foodies should bust in if they don't really appreciate the processed food Americans adore so much.
Nothing makes me laugh more when I explain to snobby friend at a fancy resturaunt what they actually eating. Yes, frying something in pig fat makes it taste better. Yes food gets processed when you pick up a knife.

Posted: 6/20/07 at 12:06amoh my goodness, Blueroses, All American is the absolute, hands down best fast food place in the country. They're cheap, fabulous and a stalwart presence in Massapequa, Seaford, and Amityville life. There's a reason why there's a group on facebook titled "All American-More Addicting than Heroin."

I love watching Iron Chef - but if some of that stuff is "gourmet", I'll stick with fast food.
Off the top of my head, one man poached livers in PURE BUTTER, like 1 lb of it. Another poached in duck fat.
I'll take peanut oil over THAT any way.

So, when we talk 'best,' do we mean 'best for you' or 'best tasting'? Because, I have to tell you, anything fried in FAT tastes better than anything fried in OIL - no MATTER the source.

I guess...
But the concept of knowing its been fried in a solid fat, like CRISCO or lard creeps me out. Of course, that could be because of my upbringing.

Whoever mentioned IN-N-OUT derserves my "Awesome!" badge [really, it's a yellow badge with a red ribbon that says "Awesome!"... someone gave to me a while ago and I haven't put it to good use].
I went to IN-N-OUT a few years ago when my parents and I were visiting California. I have to say, it was quite good for fast food.
The worst, in my opinion, are Taco Bell and KFC. I can't even look at their food when its being televised without feeling sick.

I'm just hating Taco Bell for their recent advertisements regarding "fourthmeal".
Of course, it could be because of my potential major in health policy and its effects...

In a word, yes. We're talking about centuries of tradition, which extends just a little beyond your own experience

What? There's stuff BEYOND me? DG! I'm crushed!
Fine, I'll go eat real fried chicken - but can I take the skin off first?
