Usually when actors try to move into the music world, it usually ends up sounding like an ego trip, but Robert Downey Jr.'s FUTURIST album is pretty good.

I'm partial to Phyllis Diller's version of Satisfaction. Her comedic ad libbing in the middle of the song is priceless.

The "Golden Throats" series by Rhino has compiled the greatest collection of actors/athletes who have felt the need to record. Some are just crazy (so bad it's good) and others are quite surprisingly good. I highly recommend them.

The first one that came to mind was 'The Futurist', actually. I picked it up at a used cd store (for $5!) about a year after it came out and was very pleasantly surprised.
