Still, remember Liz' "horrified" reaction to Zingbot mentioning Austin's girlfriend? And now she's got a man outside the house of her own? Ugh, I truly can't stand her.

Speaking of Zingbot, I thought the zing for the twins was odd, because I think Liz is the less attractive one with the worse personality.
I hope Johnny Mac wins, but I'm pretty over this season.

For a split second I thought maybe Steve might flip the game and put up Vanessa, but I know that would be suicide. I can't hate on Vanessa anymore, though. I still think she gets too emotional when she thinks she's cornered, but that was some master class shît the way she cracked the Austwins.
I don't know if Vanessa will emerge completely unscathed, but that was crazy how she manipulated Julia in the Veto comp. For a professional poker player, she needs to check herself because her tears are her "tell". Her emotional outbursts are usually the result of being found out and confronted. They way she has played this game has really driven me crazy. I don't know if I want her out or want her to win. I get panic attacks watching her talk to people.
Vanessa is a mad genius in how she quickly manipulated Julia and caused chaos in Austwins (even though Liz couldn't stick with it). I hate the way she plays the game but I respect it. It would have been in Steve's best interest last night to back door Vanessa because whoever goes to the end with her is playing for second place.
It's really sickening to me that once being put on the block together Austin and Liz only refer to each other as "my boyfriend" or "my girlfriend" and talk about how much he loves her. I'll be glad to see her leave the house tonight.
I could be wrong, but my hunch is that Julia will be leaving tonight, not Liz. It would be another imbecile decision in a season full imbecile decisions, but that's what I believe will happen. We shall see.
Austin will vote to keep Liz, so it's really down to Vanessa and John. I can't see any reason why they would want to keep Liz and it would be the worst move for them, so they probably will.
These people are so.fvcking.dumb! Also this is the worst challenge of the season. It makes me so anxious.

This Steve and his mother thing is beginning to remind me of Bates Motel.
Why did they vote out Julia?! Wasn't Vanessa's whole argument to Steve about nominating Austin and Liz vs Julia and Liz that Julia was the weakest link in the trio and the least likely to win a competition?
I'll keep rooting for Johnny Mac, but just judging from Shelli's comments in the jury this is Vanessa's game to lose.
Of all the people on the jury I always thought Shelli was the most likely to vote for Vanessa. I think the rest of the people in the jury house are pretty resentful. But who knows maybe they'll go the "I don't like her but I respect her game" route.

Why did they vote out Julia?!
I guess Vanessa thinks she's going to hold Liz and Austin to that insane deal she presented them with.
They NEED to get Vanessa out or she will win.
And yes, ick to Steve's reaction to his mum.
Vanessa's demands were hysterical! It was like, here are three conditions: Condition 1. Part 1, subsection A, subsection B. Ok. Part 2, etc. And it all amounted to them doing everything she wanted for the ENTIRE REMAINDER OF THE GAME!
What did I say? WHAT. DID. I. SAY.
GAWD!
This season is such a clusterf*ck.

Alot of Steve's comments and emotions about his mother is part of his strategy. If you go on the sites and read what is going on with the live feeds, it is one of many characters he is playing. He wrote a very insightful HOH letter during his last reign that spoke in detail what his strategies had been before going into the house and how he had to deviate from those strategies because he never thought he would be in the house as long as he had. You all remember the episode where he was crying and then went into the next room and yelled "suckers" with a straight face. He is not as innocent as he puts on. But I like him because for the most part he is not a hypocrite nor does he make personal attacks on the others just for the sake of it. That is why I also like Johnnie Mac. Had he won some competitions I would be in his corner for the win. Vanessa is playing the best game. I just don't like her methods that she chooses. If you think Julia and Liz are "mean girls", if you read the feeds, Vanessa is right in there with them. Not a nice person.

Then why wouldn't the show want to edit some of that story on? Seems silly not to let US see the real him.
WAtching the show 3 days a week is enough time to devote to this show...I'm it the same type to seek out more. (But thanks for the info.)

See I'm the opposite. I get bored watching the show. Maybe it's because I already know the outcome. I enjoy reading the feeds daily. The editing/production gives us a sanitized version of the events. For example, Austin constantly does not wash his hands after using the toilet, then prepares food. It got so bad that production had to tell him to wash his hands. This group is so sloppy, they have had an infestation of ants that they can't get rid of. It has actually gotten on their food and have had to throw it out. From what I read, Liz's grandmother will not be amused of what is going on specificially in detail in the bedroom. Austin, who is a professional trainer, is purposely training Johnnie Mac incorrectly, so he will be hurt for the competitions. I have already stated there are too numerous to mention nasty remarks being said by Austwins and Vanessa about the others. I guess that is why I enjoy reading the feeds. I get the real story. Not what they choose to show me.

I've been watching this season of Celebrity Big Brother and that's on 7 days a week. While I admit it's a lot, I wish the US had the same love for Big Brother that the UK does.

I don't understand how it gets the ratings it does. Whenever I ask someone do you watch Big Brother, so we can maybe dish about it, I always hear the words NO! That is why I love this thread. I have one friend who watches and claims she is a huge fan, but when i ask her if she watched last night, I always hear NO!
I agree with you, ArtMan. I feel like the buzz around the show has really decreased but the ratings are by no means bad. I wish they would broadcast Big Brother Canada here because it's honestly amazing. Nothing will ever be able to top Big Brother 6 though (irrespective of the Nerd Herd). I mean who is better than Janelle, Howie, Kaysar and James?
I don't think Vanessa is a genius or a brilliant mastermind. I think in other seasons she wouldn't have lasted as long as she has this year and will probably win.
I do, however, believe this might be the dumbest bunch of HGs I've ever seen. How they repeatedly let her get away with all her yammering and crying and backpedaling is stunning to me. I'm truly baffled. I think perhaps if Da'vonne had stayed in the game longer Vanessa would have met her match, But no one in the house is really playing the game. They are playing Vanessa's game..not THEE game. Because they are not very bright. Or very good at playing Big Brother.

I've wanted to think that it's because we can see everything that we're on to Vanessa in a way the houseguests aren't, but I think you're probably right, clever name. I've only watched a few seasons, but these people seem like real idiots.

I don't think CBS has the intention of showing the audience the real anyone. They have to take hundreds of hours of footage and whittle it down to less three hours for broadcast each week. Their mo is making good tv, not representing people properly. Whether or not they are using the right footage for good tv is another story, but it's clear to me that the tv show isn't supposed to be a completely accurate representation of what happens in the house.
