Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

CBS gave EW that clip, so it looks like they have a motive to keep this in the public eye.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

If their "motive" is ratings, shame on them. I'm pretty sure we all now what a racist country we live in. If they plan on acting on it and DOING something, good for them.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Dramamama - I'm not sure if it's a move for ratings, it very well might be, but it's still controversial and daring nonetheless. Many had speculated CBS was going to pretend none of this was happening in the house to avoid controversy, protests, boycotts, etc.

Instead, by opting to air what comments have been made, Big Brother has truly come full circle for what it is - a social experiment. It's incredibly important for viewers to see what minorities - racial minorities, LGBT, etc. confront in this country literally every single day. If racism affects something as minuscule and insignificant in the grand scheme of this world as a reality tv show, viewers can only conclude the rampant racism people face in careers and in everyday life. I know many think this isn't the case these days, but I think the show might go a bit to disprove that hypothesis.

I love Big Brother and am especially loving this season and the recent turn of events!

Excited to see how this all plays out and can't wait for Jeremy and Aaryn to likely get the 1-2 boot the next 2 weeks.

I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was very impressed with the coveragge they've given it so far.

Wow. Now that I think about it...why wouldn't BIG BROTHER *always* have that warning?

I want to see Aaryn's face when she finds out she got fired and that America hates her. She is a despicable person and I feel so sorry for her ignorance.

Ginamarie's crying fit was the best thing to happen yet this season. I laughed my ass off.

YESSSS!!!!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!! YESSSS!!!!!

I just applauded Helen's speech to Candice. What a wonderful, level-minded person.

VOTE OUT THE BULLIES.

I love their arguments: they didn't have the right to vote Nick off, but what were their arguments for wanting Elysse off? I hate hypocrites. (And GinaMarie's crying sickens me.)

Interesting episode. Aaryn is the grossest human being I've ever seen. Helen is an angel. Jeremy is a jerk and doesn't even care about Kaitlin. Gina Marie is a joke. Good nominations and I'm interested to see what Elissa does with MVP (assuming she gets it again). She could easily put up Jeremy but I think she might just put up Howard after Helen tells her that he lied. Should be an interesting week!

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

Interesting night. Dying of laughter from Ginamarie's obnoxiousness, but also feeling anger about Aryan's behavior. She's more immature than she says people are. I hope she realizes what a jackass she's making herself out to be. Between the racist comments and then saying she has never said these things... it's all ridiculous. And makes me glad I didn't give up on this season.

I really hope when Aryan gets the boot, she walks out into a studio of silence. I think that would be more uncomfortable than boo's. And that Julie hands her a bowl of rice.

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

Previous seasons they never showed how people really were, but how they were cast. For example, the CBS viewers loved Jerry but the live feed viewers hated him. I'm glad CBS is airing Aaryn's comments. But I think that's due to social media and the outrage they have expressed. They haven't aired Spencer's horrible remarks because I think they cast him as a "good guy". But the live feed viewers hate him for the dirtbag that he is.

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

According to Julie Chen, the reason that CBS decided to air footage of the racist comments is because it became part of the narrative and is driving a story within the house. If it wasn't an issue with the other houseguests, they most likely wouldn't have aired the footage. At least that's what she said when she addressed the issue on The Talk.

Last night's episode was another great one. I could have watched an entire hour of Gina Marie's crying. It was hysterical, and if one could actually bust a gut laughing I came very close. That trashy rant she went on after Nick got voted out was sublime.

Aaryn is despicable and will get hers. Watching her downfall is compelling TV. Rarely do get to see a racist/bigot get such instantly gratifying comeuppance, and on national TV no less.

Poor Howard trying to throw that competition only to have a clueless McRae do even worse was pretty funny too.

This season is turning into one of the best.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco. Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

WOW--What a Blast last night! The ARYAN is really an UGLY person inside, just mean, hateful and CLUELESS. What she did/said to Candace was awful. Then to deny she said any racist remarks, she's floating down the river of denial and delusion. I can't wait for her to get booted and a dose of Reality when she goes back to her life.
Zepka, I agree. Let her walk out to Silence.

Ginamare gave good television last night. Her continued "Mourning" and sobbing in the DR room almost made me Pee! "I never got the chance to kiss him" made me scream with laughter!.What a stupid ass ! She is a train wreck, can't stop looking at the hot mess. She needs treatment. Fast !
The girl is a PSYCHOTIC! I loved when she was telling off the rest of the house and ARYAN was FEEDING her lines! What a Hoot!
HEY GINA: Nick has changed his name and has left the country !

I just hope Helen can accomplish back dooring Jeremy.
He's a narcisstic Douch Bag who has gotta go .
He claims he has a "beautiful" Face, Yea right! more like a greasy, drug addicted, coke snorting Puss! I wouldn't be surprised if he has a prison record. Looks the type.
Loved how JUDD spoke up to them telling him to leave the room . "No, This is my House too." You go boy. He is fast becoming one of my faves...but they need to give him Subtitles,
at times I cannot understand a word he mumbles. But we heard him loud and clear this time.
Loved how HOWARD made sure he was DOUSING the ARYAN with spoiled milk at every chance. Cool of him willing to be a Have Not just so the MEAN GIRLS can have a go at SLOP.
I loved how Candace went to comfort Ginamarie and the ARYAN started to weakly apologize to her. So glad Candace didn't buy it. Lot's of smart
ladies in the house and Yes, this is one of the best seasons.
Can't wait to see how this plays out this week.

I was disgusted by the way Aaryn, Ginamarie and Kaitlin treated Candice last night. It was low class and despicable. I felt so bad for Candice and it broke my heart that they made her cry.

I loved how Amanda read Aaryn for filth and she couldn't even defend herself. The girl is so clueless. I hope that when she gets voted of that they play back every clip of every racist and homophobic remark that she has made and then reveal to her the consequences of her hateful speech...same for Ginamarie.
#143

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

I don't even know where to begin with last night's episode. If Ginamarie's strategy is to make herself look as stupid as humanly possible, the it's working. From the bellowing nonsense rant after Nick's exit, to her mournful sobbing, to jumping on the racist bully bandwagon for stuff that doesn't even involve her, Ginamarie makes us all long for the return of the intellectually superior David.

I don't think Aryan is delusional. I think she knows precisely what she's saying and how others will feel about it. She simply does not care. And her only response to criticism is with superiority and cruelty. She absolutely LOVES how it makes her feel, especially when she can perform for her minions like Jeremy, Ginamarie and Kaitlin. I've known girls like Aryan and Kaitlin. The way they acted in high school is exactly how they acted at the 10 year reunion and the 20 year reunion. They never grew up. They never matured. And they never moved away from their original comfort zone. If they suddenly feel they are in the "minority" now, it is because they are getting a glimpse of what happens when they leave their tiny little kingdoms and are forced to deal with the rest of the world. So they try to cling to each other and build a temporary kingdom in the Big Brother house and they forget that we're all watching their kingdom crumble.

After Amanda's confrontation with the Mean Girls, I want to take her to dinner. That was one of the greatest moments in Big Brother history.

I'm so glad we not only got to see Aryan's "apology" to Candice, but her DR about the "apology" where she clarifies that she's really super sorry that Candice took her words the wrong way. Aryan says that she's really not "that kind of person" (she can't even say it) and she doesn't want people to think she is. She just feels bad that she can't be cruel to others without them getting all bent out of shape about it.

Jessie seems to be on the right track now. And though Jeremy is douchebag, even he seems to be uncomfortable with the level of nastiness the Mean Girls are displaying. He's even willing to get rid of Kaitlin. Which doesn't sound like much of a sacrifice. It's like being willing to kill a mosquito when it's sucking the blood out of your arm. It's almost involuntary.

Oh, Howard. You seem like a nice guy, but you are REALLY BAD at this game. All you had to do to throw the challenge was toss the nasty milk only in Aryan's face and we could have had a twofer. Watch Aryan get humiliated and have her put in the Have Not room. And when the HoH asks you about an alliance that no longer exists and can name the exact members of the alliance...that means SHE KNOWS ALREADY. Why lie to her face about it and piss her off?

I kind of want to cuddle with Judd.

I love when they realized that they were now on the wrong side of the high school clique.

I can't wait for each and every one of them gets picked off. The numbers are so overwhelming that it almost doesn't matter who is HOH because of the MVP.

I agree you with you Mister Matt; Aryan does know what she is saying and how it can hurt people and doesn't care. I called her Deluded because she just doesn't "get It", how her actions and words on this show are not confined to the house.
She is totally so wrapped up in her hateful personality that she doesn't realize that their are consequences in life for one's actions.
Get an AWARD ready for AMANDA-Best Beat Down!
And Yes, I would Cuddle with Judd as well.. me, him and an interpreter.

Yes, when she DENIES having said anything racist. Does she not GET the concept of being filmed?

I think I look forward to her elimination more than anyone else's. And although I've said it before: GOD I hope they tell her on air that she's been fired.

I agree, when the ARYAN goes, it will be sweet.
Can anyone help me: Is that Nick's Underwear that Gina Marie is using for a SNOT RAG ?
That DR scene will go down as Classic BB, along with her Sobbing Scenes. I LMAO everytime she blew her nose!

Big Brother Season 15 -- cast announced today

"He left his hat!!" I'm sure she takes it as a sign that he was in love with her. She is majorly delusional. Probably a stalker type in real life.

Don't you wonder what friends and family must be thinking WATCHING this? Granted, many of them are likely just as racist and hateful -- but I mean the over-reactions and stuff.

Yea, she is wearing his BLUE HAT, thinking he left it for her. Poor Girl... but what was that Red Rag that she was using in the DR to Blow her nose and wipe her eyes with? His Underwear?
She is a Head case. In need of a Straight Jacket IMO.
Someone from the Television Without pity Forum said they worked with her and she is not at all like how she is acting in the house, especialy about Nick and the racist comments.
I really don't believe that.
ALso, someone should clue her in..."YOU's" is not a Word !
Oy vey !

I'd be embarrassed to be related to them.

Howard really didn't have any reason to lie about the alliance. He easily could have said that it was created right when everyone entered the house and they didn't really know each other, so trust wasn't completely there yet. It was a move that didn't pan out. It's not lying if he words it that way. They were responsible for one thing: getting David out. Outside of that, they really didn't have much power because they all started to discover their own alliances.

Although I did enjoy watching Howard throwing spoiled milk into Aryan's face. If only he did it completely so they could have been have-not's.
