Black Christmas

Who's seen this movie? I was first introduced to it by a certain board user, whom I am eternally indebted to.

Truly one of the most chilling and genuinely frightening movies. Ever. Eek... Even for a 70s movie, it holds up extremely well. I bring this movie up because it's kind of hard to find nowadays.

Also, a remake is in the works, and they'd better not screw it up! True to fashion, here is who I would choose:

Jessica Bradford - LEELEE SOBIESKI (what a great comeback role!)
Lt. Kenn Fuller - VIGGO MORTENSEN
Peter Smythe - DESMOND HARRINGTON
Barb Coard - MELISSA GEORGE

Olivia Hussey was in it. I remember that someone was killed in the attic by putting a plastic bag over their head. That's as much as I remember.

well if Viggo Mortensen's in it then I HAVE to see it

The original is one of my all time favorites. I didn't care when they remade House of Wax, Thirteen Ghosts, or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. However, if they screw this one up, I'm going to be pissed. The original is a classic.

Hopefully, they won't. The original filmmakers are on the production team. Also, aside from "Thir13en Ghosts", I've been generally happy with the horror remakes.

It's incredible that it would be considered a comeback for Leelee Sobieski (if she were to be cast) and she's only 23.

Nobody will be able to touch Marian Waldman's performance of Mrs. MacHenry; and Leelee Sobieski is no Olivia Hussey.

lol. I suppose that's true. Actually, was she ever anyone? The only thing I recall about her was the constant comparison to Helen Hunt. But, Helen Hunt isn't even anyone, these days.

Ain't that the truth about Helen? And no, Leelee never really broke out into mainstream success, did she? But then if she will make terrible movies like The Glass House and Joy Ride, it's hardly surprising. And let's not forget her year spent shooting Eyes Wide Shut for her maybe 90 seconds with no dialogue that ended up in the finished film. She should have fired her agent a long long time ago.

I think she's one of the most underrated young actresses, and I believe she would be a great Jess. I loved Joy Ride, but didn't like The Glass House. Nevertheless, she was great in both of them.

And let's not forget her year spent shooting Eyes Wide Shut for her maybe 90 seconds with no dialogue that ended up in the finished film.

Actually, forget Delta Burke. Marsha Mason would be brilliant.
