In his news conference on Stop & Frisk, Bloomberg alluded to the the Russians anti gay stance hinting that they do not protect all of their citizens.
Bravo Mike you stood up to them where Mr President is mum on the subject.
You mean the Obama who said:
"I’ve been very clear that when it comes to universal rights, when it comes to people’s basic freedoms, that whether you are discriminating on the basis of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation, you are violating the basic morality that I think should transcend every country. And I have no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways that intimidate them or are harmful to them.
"Now, what’s happening in Russia is not unique. When I traveled to Africa, there were some countries that are doing a lot of good things for their people, who we’re working with and helping on development issues, but in some cases have persecuted gays and lesbians. And it makes for some uncomfortable press conferences sometimes. But one of the things that I think is very important for me to speak out on is making sure that people are treated fairly and justly, because that’s what we stand for. And I believe that that’s a precept that’s not unique to America, that’s something that should apply everywhere."

I try not to listen to Obama but I will stand corrected Reggie. I still believe that his conversion (or evolving)re gay marriage had more to do with his reelection than listening to his 2 daughters. You have to give Mike a thumbs up on this even if you hate his guts.
I'd say it's more likely that his backtracking on his previous support of LGBT equality was in order to get elected in the first place.
*eyeroll*
Glad you don't listen to the man yet proclaim to know what he's said/not said.

If its not in a Weekly Reader, chances are its above his reading/comprehension level.

Unlike Jordan I do not have a closed mind. I discuss issues while he smears and starts being vicious. Pity but the phrase "A mind is a terrible thing to waste "comes to mind when I see his infantile remarks.
Roxy, considering in this thread you said the two following statements:
"Bravo Mike you stood up to them where Mr President is mum on the subject."
"I try not to listen to Obama "
you have little room to talk.
I have to say, I've frequently found Mr. Roxy to be open to discussion and changing his mind.
Oh, Reg. that might be the funniest thing anyone's said on here all month!!!!
""Unlike Jordan I do not have a closed mind. I discuss issues while he smears and starts being vicious. Pity but the phrase "A mind is a terrible thing to waste "comes to mind when I see his infantile remarks.""
While we all may find jordan the clown prince of the boards we all know this to be true too.

once again. obama was for gay marriage when he was a senator. this is easily confirmed with a minimum of research. he lied about his position during his first term because he feared persecution by the religious right, and he gave his original honest opinion only when it was politically expedient. and why should he say anything to putin? he is only doing what progressives and conservatives alike seem to agree on: religion should be respected. we could let the president be honest and say what he really thinks, that it's all bunk and certainly no reason to marginalize an entire minority of your citizens, but people here wouldn't want that either, would they?
Obama is no different then any other Politician. he is a panderer will say whatever he needs to to get elected, or give money, funds or food stamps to get people to vote for him whether he believes it or not.
they are all lying thieves.
(Barack, i know you or your NSA(the US KGB) are reading this. please see that i mean all of politicians, not just you)
