I can already tell this bad knock off version is going to be a guilty pleasure! I like Isaac and Michelle, but the contests, save some, are obvious PR rejects.
My favorite from this first episode was James Paul. Merlin is a drama queen whose dress really wasn't that nice. He was the one complaining about too much navy when that's all he had (plus the red). I didn't like it.
I'm big into underwear, so I was glad to see Andrew Christian competing on the show. I don't think he'll win, since he blended into this episode. He didn't have one interview except the "panty-christ" comment in the beginning. (Aside: I hit on him in Vegas, at Gypsy, and didn't know it was him. We talked for a couple of minutes and then he had to go. I saw him a few minutes later, on the catwalk. He said "good bye" and left the bar.)
I did not like it that much! I probably just need to get used to it. I miss PROJECT RUNWAY.
I was going to make a thread for this last night, but the damn show put me to sleep.
I may give it another shot, but it didn't seem to have the same punch as Project Runway.

I tuned in at the end, so I can't be sure if I like it yet.
I really miss Tim Gunn. Is PR just gone for good?

this show is a HORRIBLE PR rip-off - you could tell that they tried hard to not say the word "runway" when talking about the fashion show.
besides the mini-challenges (ala "Top Chef") and having more people watch the runway shows, what makes this different than Project Runway?
it seems that there is only room for one fashion-based reality competition show - the same way that there is only one reality home makeover show or only one reality competition show set in the jungle.
issac is fun, but he's no gunn - and kelly, um, buh bye dahling.

Nope, it's moved to Lifetime.

Well I'm glad he's still going to be there. Isn't it in LA now? I hate that.
I started watching it last nite but could not get into it. I will probably watch it one boring Sunday afternoon when they marath 4or 5 episodes back-to-back.
I watched it and I loved it, I was never completely interested in Project Runaway, because I think Heidi Klum has no charisma whatsoever.
"I like Isaac and Michelle", I think you got the wrong name, her name is Kelly Rowland, and she has achieved a lot more success with her solo career than fellow-Destiny's Child, Michelle Williams.
I am so glad that Andrew Christian is on the show!!!!!! I have a lot of his underwear too!!!!!!
However, I was suprised to see someone of his level on the show...or maybe I was just suprised to see someone whose clothing I actually own!
Is anyone else watching right now? WTF ARE SOME OF THESE JACKETS? This is a car-wreck.

Well, EExxccuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssse meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
This show is horrible!
I watched most of it tonight for the 1st time. I wasn't crazy about it. I will miss Project Runway. I don't have Lifetime and am not going to spend more money to upgrade from Basic Cable to see it.
I thought this would be a "good enough" diversion until the PR people get their act together...but I find Mizrahi unbearable. I used to really like him, but he is so unsupportive and bitchy, imo. The challenges are not that interesting either. Kelly is the least of this show's problems.
I caught this last night for the first time. The show is a mess and I didn't notice anything remarkable created by the contestants. Are they given less time to work than the Project Runway contestants? Perhaps that is why most of the clothes looked like unfinished crap from a college costume construction class. And I speak from experience. My final project in my college costume construction class was unfinished crap.
There is nothing about this show that is remarkable or remotely interesting (including the over the top designer). I watched the first 3 episodes and am officially done with it.
