I read a bunch of other theatre/acting message boards, and on every one of them people are talking about BWW. It is known to have "horrible mean people" be "extremely clicky" and "everyone who posts there seems to hatefull to all new Broadway shows"

Anyone who's worried about the 'rep' of a message board truly needs to take a step back!

I'm not worried. And I don't need to step back, I hardly ever post around here any more. Just making a point. In fact one of the newest topics today was :

Honey ,if you think that "All That Chat" is kind and gentle you are as wrong as ever.
This is the same old lament, this is a wonderful place, full of wonderful people, and regarding the "they" you speak of, do "WE" really care what "THEY" think, I mean are we getting graded?
And you have been quilty of being "hatefull" with some of your posts in the past too, be mindful of such blanket statements, or are you playing "Saint Joan" at present and gotten lost in the role?

I enjoy reading what people have to say here both on the boards and through personal messages. I have been to another board and certain posters there tend to be rather opinionated and condescending.

One of those 'other' Boards (no names please) is VERY anal-retentive. You break ONE LITTLE GUIDELINE and they ZAP your account!
No warnings, no nothing.

Also, if you don't like the people here, start your own group with people you do like. I don't post on Neo-Nazi groups anymore because the people started getting on my nerves. Easy as that.

I remember a certain little poster who got kinda dissed when he first showed up--but was able to tough it up and stick it out!

The "black sheep castaways" from this site have bitter for breakfast.
And I'll stick with the entire group of passionate, supportive BWW members, who came out in force at Standing Ovations 2 and made the evening both full of magical fun and a smashing success in the fight against AIDS..."horrible mean people" indeed.
