When I signed up, I didn't really expect to post all that often, so I just picked the first thing that came to mind. I sort of regret it because people look at it and think I'm a 12 year old wicked maniac. But eh. I don't really care. People that know me on here call me by my real name anyway.

I liked my original name - changed it for reasons to complicated to discuss... but I wish I could go back to my old name.

I like my name, it's what I use for everything online. Which, in hindsight, makes it terribly easy to find out everything about me. Oops . I thought of the whole thing right after I did Gypsy almost four years ago, and someone already had Hollywoodblonde so I switched the Y to an I and ta da! Here I am.

Back to the original post, I don't think, (or at least I hope) I'll ever get sick of my username.

I've had this name for so many years now, I couldn't possibly remember a new one now!

(And no - I wasn't named after her. If my parents were into doing that, I'd be called 'Jackie')

I honestly chose my name just for this boards... I don't use it anywhere else. I chose it because when younger Korean kids don't know how to say everything they want to in Korean... they do a mixture of Korean and English, hence the name korenglish. I am honestly glad I didn't choose a specific Broadway show for the bww.com boards, because now my favorite show is Piazza... and when I started bww.com it was still climbing on my list.

That's why I didn't pick a Broadway-based name. It's like getting a tattoo: you never get your current obsession tattooed on your body because then you're stuck with it for life.

I had to quickly sign up for the boards to vote in one of those audience award things and was being completely unoriginal, so it's just my name...although it has a 2 at the end for some reason and I have to delete it everytime I post (if I'm going to be unoriginal I want to do it the whole way). Now I kind of wish it was something different, but oh well, I can deal with it.

Nah, I don't want to change. It's sort of my jack of all trades name, generic yet with a slight literary/mythological allusion. I try never to pick fad names, except for something wholly contained by the fad. For example, if I were signing up to a Wicked board (Why this example? Because of the unlikelihood.), then I would probably be wickdElphie, or something. Except more original.

PS: No offense intended if someone's adopted that name in my absence. I've been gone for months...

I could never get sick of my name.

By real name is Bettina, Bettini is an inside joke, and I love Broadway so it's a perfect match. On Lj or other message boards I either use Bettini or Bellomello, which is another joke.

i picked the name of someone i have always loved, and that i love more and more as i get smarter and then put my own tag on it. i am becoming my name every day.
