i was thinking about "Brokeback" on my way into work today - it wasnt this great love story that everyone claims - every single character, with the exception of maybe Michelle Williams, was self-centered and selfish in their actions. no one "loved" anyone, there were conditions and lots of manipulating going on. it was a good movie, the subject matter is not the focus (it's 2006, come on) but every scene showed someone acting with themselves in mind and no one else. blech!

What does that even mean?
It's an airy comment, CuCu. Don't sweat it. It's devoid of all meaning.
it means that it's not a "gay" movie, that's not the focus - it's a traditional love story. what isn't traditional is that the lovers are both male. what's more, they're cowboys. it's a reasonable assumption that most 21st-century moviegoers will not shy away from the film on that account.
