If I am lucky, I may get to see DD this week. I am going up to the Pac Northwest for a 1 day conference. Hopefully we will get to say hello. Though not quite the same as experiencing the Q, it is also a mighty fine thing.

Rumor has it that I may be going to New Jersey for Thanksgiving. I am waiting for directives from above to determine whether or not that is in fact the case... If so, I may try to sneak away a day or two into the city (or, take the train in and say hello).

It is still not set in stone, but yes, that would hopefully be the plan - after ditching my mom and sister back in NJ (though I have a feeling there will be at least one show in NY with the family if this works out. I may need suggestions because I don't think Next2Normal will work for them).

Oooh, Girly is getting feisty and defensive! Just remember, Girly, I HAVE been known to trek out to NJ for the people I love. Willingly.

But let's put it this way: if you had to travel all the way to Ouest Bumfuque, France, which is just across the river from Paris, wouldn't YOU want to go to Paris, as well? Hmmm???

Yep, she is still in Metuchen. The deal is that if I agree to do this (which is huge, because family gatherings always go nuclear in my family) I am at least getting a clean hotel room paid for by my mom. I figured that just might be an offer to good to refuse.

Didn't get to see Boobs and Girly - which just Sucks The family reunion went well enough until my mother and I got back to the hotel - and then all hell broke loose. So, instead of getting to see fun and fabulous friends, I got to spend the day working things out with my mother.

Guess which I would rather have been doing . . .

A pretty terrible ending to what had been a great trip.

Oh, well - back home tomorrow, and back home to reality.
