And I spoke too soon about the limp. I tripped on an uneven sidewalk and damaged the same foot. Not as badly as last week, but I'm limping again. Dammit.

How are the adults? I hope everyone's recovering from the weekend. Me doing things backward as usual - pretty much stayed home all weekend working on the show and theatre stuff, and tonight we're going out to a friend's house for dinner and wine.

I spent the afternoon cleaning my hardwood floors. I finally had a few hours to move everything out of the kitchen.

Now I need a nap.

Hello friends :) Big news in my life and I wanted to share.

A friend of mine mentioned to my father that I was applying for a Swedish visa. I had told my mom I was considering it and she told me to, "stop being stupid," so I hadn't mentioned it again. My dad finding out forced the issue. My sexuality is something I talked to my mom about when I was 21 and she said she never wanted to talk about it again. I have never felt like I could talk to my dad about it. I have dated both men and women since. She knew about the guys, but I never spoke of the girls. So, my dad freaked to my mom who called me. We had a long talk and I did a lot of crying. To sum it up she said she wasn't upset that I was involved with the Swede. In fact, she loved her. She was really upset that I am moving and didn't feel like I could talk to her about it. So, that's a sore subject, but the relationship is all out in the open. I told her about our plans and the engagement. At the end of the conversation she said, "Baby, don't cry. All I have ever wanted is for you to be happy. I just wish you could figure out a way to be happy together here." I don't think I could have asked for that to go better.

Still haven't talked to my dad. Giving him more time to process. :/

Yeah, I took a header coming out of Artisanal on Thursday and sprained my ankle. Today was the first day I was walking without a limp, and then VOILA, I did it again. Not quite so bad this time - I'm still limping a little but not nearly as much as I was earlier today.

We went to the TITANIC exhibit today (pre-fall) - mesmerizing. I'm going to go again. I can't wait!

JG2...that is such great news...it takes time when you move to adjust, but at least you'll be with someone that you want to share your life with which will make it that much easier on you and all of us. *mwah*

LS...it was so nice seeing and spending time with Tinky, Girly and you yesterday...wish you didn't have to leave. Now we have a new game to play when you come in...of course Tinky & you want to turn it into a drinking game...why did that not surprise me? LOL
