Deet, your friend Michael at Artisanal treated my friend and I to a glass of madeira. It was lovely of him!

Am in a 'Fifth Dimension' mood this morning. Am just dancing and singing as I do the Saturday morning chores that need doing...

Time to head out to get a hair cut. Maybe a manicure. Then kick off the Tony Weekend festivities.

If it makes you feel better, the next surgery has been postponed.

I have been listening to my body. SEVERAL days, if not weeks, of rest, fluids, protein, antibiotics, and it's still bitching. That's just not fair. I don't do patience. I think I've been doing a swell job the last 3 weeks, but *sigh*.

One would assume, though, that you would like to 'do' the rest of your life in the best condition possible. It would be a shame to interfer with that possibility simply out of stubbornness. Fair or not - and life isn't, so get over that now - your condition is what it is, and deserves to be your priority right now.

I spoke with my doctor, and while he's frustrated with the crap that's happened, agrees that any more rest would be unecessary at this point (i.e., continue resting, but still get up and leave the house every so often).

I'm still spending most of my time in bed, working on healing.

I did take a break to hit up a sample sale this morning...

A date is fine. A one-night stand, not so much.

A really nice guy, I'll see him again. I have reservations, but we shall see. What can I say, he's effeminate but not gay. But of course, I'm going "gay gay gay gay gay" and he says he's straight. He's 25, I assume he'd have figured it out by now...oy.

Morning. Happy Tony Day! I was all prepared for a nice relaxing morning at home alone, and then it seems I was left off the memo telling people the landlord was going to be putting a hole in the ceiling today. So now i am kinda barricaded in my room.

Oh and they only speak Polish. joy!

Anywho, hope ya'll had a nice weekend. We won our pool tournament yesterday (12 hours at the pool hall). Got some $$ and a trophy. It qualifies to do it all again next Saturday, but if we win that, we go to Vegas again for Nationals.

Good Sunday morning! After a great day yesterday (check out the pix on fb) going on a bike ride today along the waterfront, through the locks and up to a park on the water north of the city. Should be fun!

ok, watching Billy Elliot the movie. Can't understand half of it, but man, make me freakin cry. I really do love this story. I wanna see the show again now.
