I liked the opening number in theory ,but it felt awkward, especially the Stockard Channing/Aaron Tveit (?) part...
Enjoying it anyway!
And I kind of want to see Rock of Ages.
Wasn't that Matt Cavenaugh with Stockard? It's not too far-fetched that I completely missed her with Aaron, though.
Morning! Got about 2 hours sleep, tops, so people here are gonna LOVE me today!

Happy Tony Monday!
I don't know my names so well, so it could have been Matt. My bad.
In the opening number when she was singing Bewitched, that was Aaron.
Morning!!
I was right about something? Cool!
Why thank you Addy - nothing like some good champagne to, er, wake me up?

Morning.
My day yesterday:
-Started by watching Roger make history and fulfill a dream.
-On to another screening of a TinMan project, and seeing him continue to be thrilled by living his dream.
-Getting home in time to see Tiger beat the odds - again - and show that dreams get fulfilled by dedication and committment.
-Ending with Geoffrey Rush winning his Tony for the realization of his own dream (truly the only thing I cared about.)
As long as there are men like that in the world - alive, impassioned, graceful, gracious and GOOD (in every sense of the word) - then I can face another day.
Lovely, Q.
Just got back from the doc, I get to live another day, plus 80 years.
Addy, have you recovered from your 15 cummulative seconds of fame? It was a delight to see you thrice!
Ugh can I say how much I hate the main board
Hi Peeps!
I tuned in late and missed all 3 Addys.
But, oddly enough, I saw someone I thought looked a helluva lot like Deet.
Whoa! I missed Addy on tv? I only caught the last hour or so.
When I went back and watched what I missed, i did indeed see her once, but I didn't catch the other two times.
And Moony was on camera, she was in the opening number! I am convinced even more that she is Stockard
Nope. I was home, on the couch, Facebook and intermittently, BWW.
I was actually very good at not checking the internets until the broadcast was over on the West Coast. Why don't they simulcast these types of events so the millions of viewers on the left coast don't have to worry about spoilers?
Yes, of all flippin' nights for BWW to go down for a bit. TONY AWARD NIGHT!

Crazy Monday! (Don't they know I'm tired today, and don't feel like working so hard?! )
So, I've been reading the threads on the Main Board. It sounds like the broadcast was filled with technical problems! That's such a shame, because the Live show was really fantastic. Great energy and it sounded fine. The thing I noticed during the performances - when they had what was being broadcast on the large screens in the theatre - was that they focused the cameras too closely. Instead of providing shots of the full stage, with all of the activity, they zoomed in on individuals. I think that lost some of the overall energy. Seeing the entire performance, the way it was planned, and, of course, hearing it clearly, made a huge difference.
I was so disappointed in the "Billy Elliot" selection and staging. It was the wrong number to perform, and they changed the choreography, so there was just no emotion. Out of context the scene doesn't work, and that staging made it worse.
We had a really amazing time. Lots of good close-up star encounters. Including Liza practically pushing Moony out of the way as she left the theatre to get into her car, and Angela bumping me in the back with her Tony as we shuffled up the aisle after the show. I kept feeling something 'metal' tap me in the back as we shuffled, and I looked back to realize Angela was right behind me, engrossed in conversation with someone, and not realizing that her Tony was tilted forward - right into my back!
Saw Gregory Jbara at the after-party, and was able to speak with him for a moment to congratulate him.
Mostly Moony and I sipped our champagne and acted like we were hosting the red carpet event with comments about all of the outfits!
I'll think of lots of other tidbits to share... but am too tired at the moment to remember!
I recorded the broadcast, so will watch when I get home tonight.

BWW went dowm on Tony night? Geez - who was watching the server? We ran into Rob Diamond at the after party, so I guess it was Craig.
Afternoon, all!
Just got back from NYC and stopped into the office to chcek my email, etc. Leaving soon.
BTW, my coworkwers tell me that they saw me 3 times (although obce it was only half of my face. I probably look thinner that way). I have it recorded at home. but I don't think I'll watch it to look for myself. I HATE seeing myself on video or in still photographs.
Missed you guys! How's everyone doing?
Well, hi Moony! Long time no see!
Addy, I just love what you just wrote. It brought a huge smile to my face. Could you imagine - "Hey Angela, stop bumping me with that Tony of yours!!"
