I had a perfect couple of days, too. Christmas Eve with my babies. Such excitement from them, though Baileigh didn't like the idea of Santa coming to the house, since she's very leery of him. Yesterday dinner at a friend's house, and dessert at the Boobala's. If he emerges from the bed/couch today, it'll be a Christmas miracle!

FR was lovely last night, capped off with a glass of champagne. This afternoon we're seeing IT'S COMPLICATED, followed by an early dinner and then IN THE NEXT ROOM tonight.

Poor Joop. She was tired and a bit stressed by it all. I rescued her from one of the kids when I got there, and she burrowed into my neck. Little cuddlebug. I've a feeling she'll sleep most of the day away, too.

D2 - I thought it was going to be blahblahblahblahSHINYblahblahblah.

My new TV just got delivered, but since it will not fit into my existing entertainment center (which is in the process of being shipped) it is just sitting in my living room looking forlorn.

And, I think D2 and Q split a brain and regrew it. It is scary sometimes watching the two interact.

Q, that's why I think the perfect location for our dear Shira is Chicago - right in the middle!

IT'S COMPLICATED: not a great film by any standards, but laugh outloud funny and entertaining in it's own way. Nancy Meyers certainly knows how to make a movie out of the Pottery Barn Catalog, and she's an expert at filming "real estate porn. "

And I wouldn't mind if I were fat the way Alec Baldwin is fat. Although it must be stated that his thumbs are rather short and stubby.

I just finished "Confessions of a Shopaholic" on Netflix. Now I'm freaking out that I'm a shopaholic and will end up in ruin. Alcohol, shopping, food - will I ever learn?! But I *did* say no to a handbag the other day...*sigh*

Off to dinner with the fam. Yet I crave Beef Wellington.

So my clutziness strikes again. I was trying to open my door last night (I live on second floor) and dropped my keys. I bent down to get them but lost my balance causing me to fall all the way down. I hit my head pretty hard and a few other things, but I am all ok on those fronts, BUT I busted my ankle up pretty bad. Went to the doctors today (big step - seeming I usually think I can just take care of myself). I did not break anything but it is severely sprained and I cannot put any pressure on it whatsoever so I can just imagine how my uncoordinated nature is going to be like with crutches, lol. Never a dull moment with me.

How was everyone elses holiday?

Good morning all! I had a wonderful time with my family. Hope you all did also. Drove home late yesterday in the rain/fog -- took twice as long as usual. I collapsed in bed by 9. Deetie, my sister gave me a gift certificate to the most astounding restaurant on the planet. I need to use it.
