I find it hilarious that a credit union, a small satellite CVS and some vendors a few times a week constitutes a mall!! None of my errands can be taken care of here.

Oh, and there is a gift shop run by The Pioneers, but that's only open for a couple hours a few days a week (if that).

G'morning.
Bad news. Twin cousin has breast cancer. F*ck. Of course, she kept the news to herself; didn't even tell her mother, my aunt, until a week before she had a mastectomy, and then I find out from my sister who found out from a call to the aunt to wish her a happy birthday...
She's now on chemo and apparently responding well.
But it's still devastating. We were born only a few hours apart. We grew up together. F*ck cancer.
So sorry, Deet. Positive thoughts sent her way. And yes, F*ck cancer. The 60th birthday party I attended on Friday night was for a long-time, dear friend. It was such a happy and fun occassion but, she has inoperable brain cancer that has spread to other organs. F*CK CANCER!!!

Thanks, SoMMS. I'm having a little trouble wrapping my head around this whole thing. And phone calls out to them remain unanswered. I may have to get on a train...
On a lighter note, though: today a certain little leprechaun started rehearsals for his West End debut.

Lordy, what a sad note to return to. I'm so sorry about your cousin, Deet and your dear friend, cuz. My dad died of brain cancer - it's not a pretty.
Came to back to dozens of emails and voicemails. Sigh. I've been whittling them down since 8:00am, only to have more pop up. Stop the craziness people! I need to make some progress here!
I suppose that playing on BWW would be counterproductive, though...
MOONY!!!
I'm burying myself in rewrites. Taking a short break before plunging back in.
Morning peeps! Sorry to hear of all this sad cancer news...F*ck cancer!
Saw "First Date" on Friday night and both HC and I LOVED IT! So much fun. Great cast. No intermission, but it flies by. Started at 8 and we were out of the theatre by 9:30. It's one of those shows you wish would have a part 2. The songs are no Schwartz or K & E, but they're clever and hilarious! We were never bored. Zachary Levi surprised me with his talent. The boy can sing! Krysta Rodriguez is a bundle of talent as she proved on SMASH...and the girl looks even better in person! The supporting cast is brilliant in playing many characters. It's just a fun, entertaining night of theatre. You walk out of the Longacre with a big smile on your face.
Riggin, frickin, fraggin Wells Fargo bank! Yesterday morning I stopped at the ATM down the street from me to get $100 (WF is not my bank -- my bank refunds the service fees if I use another bank's ATM). Transaction completes, card returned, receipt given, NO CASH. Money door keeps clicking, clicking and then on the screen, "Out of Order".
I call first thing this morning. Wells Fargo Customer Service rep, Julie, begins with "Well, sometimes the machine knows that there's a problem with the account ...". Um, no, JULIE, I asked for a credit balance during the transaction and have the receipt showing thousands of dollars in my account. Your machine BROKE and kept my money and I want it back! "Well, says Julie, we can't help you with that. You'll have to call your bank and file a dispute claim" and ends the call, never once stating that's she's sorry for the inconvenience.
My bank rep could not have been nicer and more efficient. She must have said I'm sorry a half dozen times. The money will be back in my account by the end of the day.
Screw you Wells Fargo and the wagon you rode in on.

BB - I have a friend in First Date!
SOMMS - glad we did not pick Wells Fargo for C18 for college.
Well - my neighbor's son for some unknown reason decided that the best entry was breaking the window in the door to get in his house! (High I assume. I hope to god that I never see that much blood ever again! The house is a disaster!
Much work ahead to get these kids ready for college! and $$$$
Crappy Monday!
G'morning.
Still no word from L.I. so I'll just back off for a few days.
Rewrites on GODDESS going well -- I went through the script from beginning to end yesterday, retyped the whole thing making cuts, revisions, etc, along the way.
Today will be repairing the damage I wrought yesterday.
And maybe make another call or two.
'lo kiddles!
Good thoughts, Deet!!
