Sounds like your company infrastructure is held together by chewing gum and paper clips, Tink!
On another note, please check your emails for an update on Mominator.
I have Gobs of meeting with people I really do not like or trust today. Time to put on the armor and look for knives behind me.
Some of the members of my team are leaving early today due to the weather. A couple of them come in from NJ and take the ferry, which is shutting down before rush hour.
Kudos to the kids who made it in, even if just for an hour or two.
As long as everyone remains safe!
We're having a fundraiser and clothing drive for a co-worker who lost everything when his house was destroyed on Staten Island. He's one of the company maintenance guys, and does so much for all of us. I'm heartened to see an outpouring of support for him and his family now in his time of need.
Good luck YWIW!!!!!
Addy - that is very nice of you all. It's amazing how much people really do come together in times of tragedy.
Moony - pretty much.

Mooney - I also stayed up way too late and had traffic court for C17 - ticket dismissed!
Happy Power to all and Happy Election Returns! Great day in Illinois - Joe Walsh is out and gained three dem seats!
Good morning, kiddles. I hate a winter wonderland, in the fall.
On a positive note ... I had a delightful evening with Ms. Barbara Cook. I've now celebrated her 75th, 80th and 85th birthday's with her (well, not the exact date -- her birthday concerts. We did chat over birthday cake last night. Divine!

i've seen her twice at the Kennedy Center, SOMMS. Terrific shows! She needs to have birthdays more often!
How's the snow by you? We lucked out - not a drop.
We got about an inch and a half, but it's all melted on the roads now. The worst of it was when I was driving home from the concert. Of course!

It's a good thing it didn't freeze on the roads. I fear driving on ice more than snow.
Hilo, kiddles.
An inch and a half?? Lucky bast*rd. I swear I had 5-6 inches on top of the vehicle that's way taller than me to try to clear off this morning. I couldn't believe it.

Freehold had 13 inches. Pemberton schools are closed. We got lucky here.
Morning peeps! I hope the 6 inches I got last night is gone by the time I get home! HC had my car all warm and cleaned by the time I got out of the shower. I must've done something right to have him in my life.
You've taken somebody else in?
Morning!
It was relatively tame by me. 5-6 inches, but the fluffy stuff that wiped off the car easy this morning and most of the roads were clear. And most of the gas stations had no lines so that's a plus!
Headed to PA later to see Fun. in concert, I am very very excited!
Have fun Tinky! I love "Fun"!!!!
Thanks Boobs! It's at the Recreation Center at East Stroudsburg University. It should be interesting and I will probably be the oldest one there.
G'morning.
We had some Penn Station refugees last night (my friend's husband and son) and Max was up half the night with a hacking cough.
It was a long night. But the guests have gone, Max is sleeping and I got an appointment with the vet for 2:30.
Now if I could rid of this sinus headache...
awww, poor Max!
I've got to be more careful when I get dressed in the morning. I'm wearing one black sock and one navy sock. Though it's not as bad as the day I wore two different shoes.

Watch out for that sinus infection, Deet. Hubby ignored his until it spread to his ears, inner ear, throat and bronchia. He's on his third med to try and fight back. He's been up coughing every night for a week now and still has no voice. One of us needs to get some sleep one of these nights.
Watching the Christie update online. I hope he has more than one of those embroidered personalized jackets...

Happy Thursday Adults.
It sounds like the storm was not as bad as feared.
Lots of meetings today, but not the same need for armor. It did the trick yesterday. I found no stray knives in my back!
Stay safe everyone.
We got a tiny bit of rain - which means that everyone in LA freaks out and drives like they are the Wicked Witch of the West - fearful rain will cause them to melt.
Tink - have fun tonight- you deserve it!
I had two Penn Station refugees last night, too. Co-workers who couldn't get home.
I have to say, this has been exhausting. And I know I'm one of the least impacted. I think some of the exhaustion comes from having to cover so many people who aren't able to get to work. Stress.
But, in the scheme of things... no complaints.
Glad the knives weren't out yesterday, YWIW!
Have alot of fun, Tink!
Hugs and warm happy thoughts to all.
I'm craving a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of soup for lunch. In my pajamas, at home. Wouldn't it be a perfect day for that?
Moony, I didn't know Mr. Moony wasn't feeling well. (I really need to spend more time on personal email and social sites!). I hope he's feeling better!
There's a nasty thing going around. And, I'm sure all of these power outages aren't going to help, as people are cold and tired.
Everyone take care. Soup for all.
ETA, and, Somms, one of the guys on my team just noticed he'd done the same thing. Must be the weather
Yes.
