OK, it was 18 when I left the house this morning. 18!!!! Too damn early to go into the deep freeze!
That said, I'm glad I'm not traveling this year. Wednesday's weather looks a bit dicey if you're headed north.
Mornin'
According to my computer, it's 24 here right now. Have to take the car in for servicing this morning. I'm showered and having a nice cup of java right now. MMMM...
Moony, do you have parent teacher conferences before or after report cards come out?

We have them in early November, after the 1st quarter report cards go out. Luckily, I no longer have to stay for those.
My cousin's wife, who's a teacher, posted about having conferences today until 8. It reminded me of my ex-cellmate telling me last week about her boy's report cards, which came out after the conferences. I looked at her and mentioned that I'd think conferences would happen AFTER. Makes more sense to me. Kind of counterproductive to have them before. I guess if there's an issue, the teacher would bring it up, but I remember my folks going after cards came out. I was just curious what went on at your place.

My husband's school does them the week after report cards come out, too. I've really never heard of a school doing them before - how would a parent know which issues needed to be addressed? I guess the rationale could be that the conferences give the parents a heads-up on what's to come, but it would seem to me that you'd have a more productive discussion with a report card in hand.
Morning! Happy Cold Monday.
Wedding was a success despite the florist completely f'ing up the flowers but we managed. Booze was well welcome by then, haha. Now I get a few weeks off before I go into planning mode for the next one.
And the rest of the weekend was excellent as well, despite two heartbreaking football losses yesterday.

Mooney - are your quarter grades on the transcript? Only the semester grades on ours. We get electronic reports, but the averages are up to date daily. I have always enjoyed our parent/teacher conferences. You get to learn things like his chem teacher is not a PhD, but an MD!
Cold here. Fun high school football weekend, Bears are awful and our 98 million dollar Bull will likely never play in Chicago!
Rehearsal let out early tonight. Yay.
Got home in time for Sleepy Hollow.
I made a list of all the things I have to do between now and Christmas, and... well, let's say it's going to take a miracle.
Time for a cup of hot tea! Sweet slumbers to all.

Morning Adults - cold here (by LA standards, you hearty folks would laugh at what we consider chilly). We have Obamatraffic herein SoCal - I hate when he visits Most of us would pay just so he stays away and does not mess with traffic (regardless of whether you are a supporter).
Happy Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday!
Yep.
I can't wait for this short holiday break...
Workplace insanity is at an all-time high.
YWIW, I feel your pain. We have Obama-traffic all the time in NYC.
And, forget about UN week. Next year I'm flying to an island somewhere far, far from midtown Manhattan! It's insane!
Happy Tuesday. Which is really my Friday, because I decided to take tomorrow off.

Marine One buzzes our house - it ALWAYS makes me happy! Biden was in yesterday and people complained. I said, "At least it is not Mr. Ryan!"
I also am so HAPPY for the break. Rough few weeks at the firm. Also, looking forward to seeing C18 and my parents and siblings! (The crazy one is not coming, thank god!)
"Maybe it's meant the hours I've spent
Feeling broken and bent and unwell
But there's still no cure more heaven-sent
As the chance to raise some hell..."
Dinner last night turned into a marathon evening of ordering bottles of wine. Seemed like such a good idea at the time...
I wisely decided to work from home this morning (we close at noon).
Back to bed for a bit...
Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

A man of few words.
Not at the moment. Rant coming.
Okay, if you post something on Facebook, and someone else shares it, isn't it kind of weird to ask that someone to take it down because they might be friends with someone who might know who you were referring to in the first place? If that's the case, then why the hell would you post it yourself?

Morning!
Addy - that sounds divine! There was supposed to be wine in my evening but I got trapped in my hallway for 40 mintes (long story, but then again, just typical Tink) sooooo liquor store run got cut out of plans. But that is what the bottle of vodka in the fridge is for!
We get out at 3. That needs to get here. now.

Rough day at work yesterday so this break couldn't come at a better time. Well, maybe Monday would have been a better time!
I've been cleaning and cooking since 7:00am. Office work doesn't seem all that bad right now! The house smells like Lysol and apple-cranberry cake.

I just finished baking pies... ready to put my feet up!
Back from a long day at the office, and now off until Tuesday. Off to Sacto tomorrow, and then one of my best friends is visiting for the weekend. Play time.
