I once saw a production of BYE BYE BIRDIE and Birdie was around 65. Talk about being miscast. Yet the older women screamed. I can still see his toupee.
SOM was the one show that "got away." My sister's High School did it when I was eight and I was told I was too young to play Kurt. ( I was, but I was still upset. )
When I was 14, the youth group at our church did a summer production, and this time I was cast as Kurt ( I was 14 but I looked 10 ), but the performance dates were when we were scheduled to go visit my sister in Florida. Despite my Aunt Marie saying I could stay with her while my parents were away, my mother said no.
Hey, peeps!
Haven't been home for a while. I took Mom to Sydney for a week as a belated birthday of sorts. It turned out to be a lovely week. She hasn't been at all well for the past few months and the trip really did help turn the corner for her. That week meant that I wasn't around to wish all my dear, sweet American Adults a proper Happy Thanksgiving. So, here is my very late Thanksgiving hug. I do hope the word 'leftovers' is not evil.
At dinner last night, I got a text from my friend who was at The State Theatre to see Tony Orlando, asking me if I knew The Midtown Men were going to be there tonight. I did, but when I would randomly check ticket availability, it sucked. She said there were two seats available in the front, did I want to go. So, now, I'll be watching SOM live, on DVR.
Hey, Hep!!

Okay, the last minute stuff is now out of the kitchen and it's completely empty.
And, while I'm excited for the new kitchen, I'm also a little sad...

GH - that is nice. My dad rarely travels outside of the "joint" as he calls it, but every time I see him he tells me how much he loved coming to Chicago!
MT - I was up at 4:00 which was really not that bad for me. I had two great nights in a row. I need to bring files home for the early morning insomnia.
Well, today there might be some plans made for the old man without his consent, we will see. He is a F***ing narcissist egomaniac and also delusional!
Mouse secretary better arrive in the next 6 minutes! Grrrrrr......
The workers are cute, but short. But cute. And when they speak Russian to each other, kinda hot.
But short.
Something tells me I shouldn't.

No, Moony, short men are not undesirable. But I do like a man I can climb.
