G'morning.

Our "Holiday Gathering" will be at next Thursday's department meeting. We bring our own. No booze.

And did I mention that it will be while we're discussing (still) yesterday's presentation by the GD Curriculum Committee?

Which didn't go so well...

I'm off today. It was supposed to be a day for appointments and getting things done, but, I've been sick for 2 days so it's likely going to be another frustrating non-productive day at home. I missed my concert Wednesday night, too.

I do have an appointment at 10am to look at a possible place to live during my renovations. Right now I just want to pull the covers over my head and make everything go away.

But, other than that, happy Friday to all. I so wish it was last weekend!

ps - I wonder if I can start a campaign to ask strangers to give me money for my renovation? I deserve to have nice things, right? Me,me, me, me, meeeeeeeee!

Our Department party is tonight -- dinner, with beer and wine. NOT GOING!
Our Division party is next Tuesday -- desserts during lunch. HELL YEAH!
Our Office party is the following Friday -- Pizza at lunch with a Wacky gift exchange. GOING!

So sorry you've been ill. I guess better this week than Christmas week, though. I hope the temp housing turns out well. You should "gift" yourself with a vacation home in 2013!

We could fundraise for an Adult Smoking Thread vacation! A cruise around the world? We deserve it. We should have it. It's our dream. We've been talking about it for a long time... people should understand it's their job to make it happen for us!

My father worked 3 - 11, and when he was home he hid in the basement. I hardly ever saw him. That qualifies my mother as a single parent, right?
