I broke down and spent $90 on Blu-Rays today. I only own one--Les Mis 25th Anniversary Concert, and it was getting lonely.

Today in News Playbill ran the "Jump" parody video created by Curtis Holbrook who leads the cast of Charlie's musical FROG KISS. If you haven't seen it, it is clever and fun...a great way to get a "hop" on the holiday.

My Valentine's Day gift from M. was season 2 of Downton Abbey, and a most disappointing (overpriced, to boot) supper whilst a marathon of The West Wing.

I think he'd like to go out more, but I look awkward in orthopedic shoes and a cute dress.

Good morning, kids. Are ye still mumbling about the Downton ending? I knew it was coming. Despite ignoring the spoilers, I saw in an article (about The Heiress) that he had left the show.

Spending the day with my poddie and HC. Investment advice ... buy QVC stock, PRONTO!

Morning. Last day before going back to reality.

I knew the actor was leaving, but I did not read up to see how they were going to write him off. Wow.

Saw Silver Linings Playbook yesterday so at least next week I can say I've seen one of the nominated movies. Pretty good, though I think the ending was a bit rushed. Cooper was phenomenal.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Had the day off my job and spend the entire day catching up on work for the theatre company. Got one promo piece and at lease one review out of it. Not too shabby.

I hope the adults had a wonderful weekend. Missing you.

Buenos Dias! Wishing everyone a great Tuesday! I'm looking at a pretty soggy mix here in NYC...which should be rolling in later this morning. I feel like I'm coming down with something...my throats a little scratchy and my voice is getting deeper and has this Barry White quality too it...LOL...so I'm drinking some hot tea with lemon and honey and forging ahead! Watch out for Cupid's Arrpow...you might get it in the eye!

Morning peeps! Had a great day, as always, with Poddie yesterday. I actaully didn't have to pay for the QVC tour being my name matched a Presidents, actually 2. First time my name paid off. Poor HC & Poddie's names didn't match any.

Day 1 of vacation. Men working on siding. *fingers crossed the rain holds out* 11 a.m. eye doctor appt. Sad when you get our age (excluding Tink) that you spend your vacation seeing doctors. My yearly physical is Monday. Watch out for Cupid's Arrpow...you might get it in the eye!

I spent the weekend and Monday doing a much needed thorough cleaning and moving furniture upstairs/downstairs and across rooms.

Bags and boxes delivered to Goodwill - I have finally given up - and agreed that I will never fit into my thin clothes. And, if there is some miracle and it happens, then perhaps I just should buy some new things...

And, I bought a new heating pad for my back. Oy.

I need a husband. Now I even have room for some of his stuff.

Y, I dropped a bag at Goodwill yesterday including my 2004 Outer Banks t-shirt that I always thought would fit again!

Nice college trip with C17 and C14 to see C19 and visit another school. Traffic SUCKED in and out of Chicago!

Day off, cleaning, laundry, etc. Back to reality!

I just got done with a conference call and because of the lowness and raspiness of my voice my co-worker suggested I either (a) host a late-night quiet zone radio show or (b) become a phone sex operator. She's so silly. My tongue is now red for sucking on throat lozenges...cherry.

Thanks Tink, hopefully it won't mutate into anything serious I have a loaded work schedule....can't afford to get sick.

We finally saw "Argo" yesterday. Count me among those who think Ben Affleck should have gotten an Oscar nomination for Best Director.

I tried to see it in the theaters this weekend, but it's down to just one showing a day and didn't work in my time frame. Watched "Perks of Being a Wallflower" and actually enjoyed it.

And last week watched "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and adored it. Cousin Isabel and Dowager still going at it!
