There is a giant vase of red roses on the receptionist desk in our lobby. GIANT.
I had to laugh when I read the sign: Happy Valentine's Day from Facebook!
Now, I know that it's a business relationship, but, given how connected we all are on it, it felt kind of personal, too.
Seriously, a GIANT vase of red roses. Multiple dozens of them. Multiple, multiple.
In a related story ... I have my Facebook page saved to stay logged in. Yesterday afternoon it decided to make me log in but would not accept my password. I had to create a new password and re-log in here at work, on my phone and on my home computer.
Not a big deal, but now when FB opens here at work instead of going to my home page it goes to Girly's. I smell a rat.
Wait. You're logging in and getting MY FB page??!!!

No, I've checked the remember me box again on my feed, but when it opens it goes to your home page. When I hit home from there it goes to my feed. Weird. What did you do?
She went in through Google.
I didn't do nuttin'!!!
I'm not very Valentinish today. For someone whose favorite color is red, I don't really own anything red, except for my Mickey Mouse fleece. I do have my purple jade dangly heart bracelet on, though.

BWG, you can be my Valentine!
I have a red tie on today, but coincidental!
My Valentine's Day passed without incident. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.
Happy V-day, my Peeps!
Tonight, I had my first alcoholic drink since January 3rd. It was followed by my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. Whoops!
Granted, it's Cava and not tequila, but my wife is still a BAD influence.
Hope you all have a great night! Be safe, Tinkerbell, and happy hunting.
Morning peeps! Damn, I missed my LS again!
I hope everyone's Valentines Day was nice. Mine turned out better than I planned. I told HC no gifts. We would just order in and watch a movie. Yea, we all know how the "no gifts" thingy works. I got 3 Beatle coffee mugs, a Rachael Ray pottery oven set I love and a bottle of HAPPY cologne that I wanted since our trip to the U.K. I almost forgot, a really big bag of Swedish fish.
He got tickets to PIPPIN.
Then we watched Django Unchained. I know weird choice of movie, but I had to get it back to a colleague this morning.
G'morning
Long, exhausting day yesterday. Class in the morning, followed by interviewing candidates for our BFA program. Then a writer's workshop ( I wrote a very funny 10-minute play based on "Cain & Abel" ). J2 met me after that and we went to see BODEGA BAY at Abingdon. A gorgeous piece of writing and one of the best things they've done in years. We went home, ordered in and played with Max. Low key but nice.
Dovetail tonight. ( In case you were wondering. )
I was home last night, by myself, alone, giftless and by myself, alone.
Good morning, loverly framily.

Poor SOMMS - but I, too, was home, alone and giftless. AND I'M MARRIED!
Actually, it was a very nice night. I got home to find a package from a woman who is my 2nd cousin (we "met" on Ancestry.com two weeks ago). Inside were copies of old family photos - some of my great grandfather, who I have never seen before. He dies a few months before my grandparents were married so Mom never knew him and, as far as she knew, none of her immedaite family had any pictures. I called her last night and said, "Hey Mom - happy Valentine's Day! I want you to know that I'm sittting here staring at the face of your grandfather." She was thrilled!I spent most of the night on the phone or email exchanges with various family members, sharing my gift. I scanned the photos this morning and will email them to my siblings and mail a hard copy to Mom.
So....when Hubby got home at 10:00pm and said, "I'm so sorry I had to be gone on Valentine's Day. We're you lonely?" I said, "Oh no - it's been one of the best Valentine's Days ever!" It was, perhaps, not the best way to put that.
Moony, that's wonderful! We need to plan a trip for you to Casa de Boobs, so you can help me further along with my family tree. I will keep you well feed. Of course there will be cake.

You had me at 'feed'.
G'morning. Almost made it through Valentine's Day without incident until about 7:45pm when my ex decides to text me...that text has yet to be and will remain unanswered, other than that had a great day.
My office closes today @ 4pm and it's closed on Monday!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
Morning all.
Pinky!!!!
If you ignore the fine print, I had a successful Valentines Day. I was complimented and told I was pretty (by creepy old man outside food store). I was bought dinner (Dad ordered pizza). I was told to get on my back (my trainer) and was bought a drink (good friend).
Otherwise, most of the other Florida family arrived yesterday so went by my aunt's before the bar and caught up with everyone. Always nice time. Now a little downtime and then off to the funeral home. yeehaw.
Morning Folks.
Glad that everyone seems to have had a Valentine's Day that met their expectations.
Moony/Boobs I'm on Ancestry too. Almost spent 2 bills last night on Blu-Ray videos last night then I got smart and cancelled before I checked-out.
Wish all a fine holiday weekend.
I was at the office.
Why should last night be different from any other night?
Work stops for no holiday in my life...
I did receive flowers, and I did have chocolate, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Today is the crazy-big presentation which kept me here all night last night.
I will head to CT if it ends at a decent hour.
We are scheduled to present from 3-6pm. On a Friday. Of a Holiday weekend. (Who schedules these things?!?!)
I see a large bottle of something in my not-too-distant future.
Happy Friday.
And, glad to hear that everyone had happy heart days yesterday.
Good luck Addy!!
I feel you Addy...I've just found out that I have to prep for a presentation/conference for 120 that is scheduled on....
MY BIRTHDAY!!!
Ugh!
Aaaaarggggh!!!! Who schedules these things?!!!

Epic Valentine failure! No card or gift for Mrs. Brd and no well wishes or cards from the kids - she was pissed.
