This lining is gold plated!
I have a sudden desire to go to Edinburgh ... jS and I were talking about Scotland yesterday.
DD...remember to rub Vicks Vapor on the soles of your feet and then put on socks before you go to bed
I'll let you know that jS tried that last week (he was sick before me ... hm ...) and he says it worked for him; alas, I tried it and I don't think it did. I also can't sleep with anything on my feet, so sleeping with socks is out.
Yea I usually don't like anything on my feet either when I sleep, but if it helps the cough I will do it.
Nyquil ... knocks me out so I don't notice the cough. jS on the other hand ...

Hey BB, thought of you! Mrs. Brd had a commercial audition for KY Lubricant! Oh the fun I had making up scenarios for the commercial.
Awww, BB, you must feel so special!
I hope she gets it, Brd! The commercial I mean.
is it for one of those warming gel commercials where she'd have a big O?

DD, I do not know. She "felt good" about the audition. We have always joked that her big break would be for something racey.
And, shamey, I will help her get it soon!
*ahem* That was SOMMSy. I am flattered you confused us ...

Sorry, SOMMS is taller!

brd...Shamey was right...you made me feel so special. I'm sure Mrs. brd will slide right into character for this commercial.

A slippery slope into stardom!
Say that 5 times real fast!
Well this seems as good a time as any to slide back into the conversation.
I couldn't get onto the off-topic board for the last hour, it just wouldn't load.
Moony, I received a wonderful email today as well, really made me happy!
And DD, Edinburgh is wonderful - I wish I'd been able to spend more time there - I'm jealous of those who've been able to really enjoy it leisurely!
I was only there for a day and a half. I could've used more time too, but I definitely plan on going back.

Any talk of Scotland or England depresses me, Mrs. Brd has family in the North of England and we have never been!

I have tried 3 times to post in this thread and I keep getting an error message. It's a shame, too, because I had some really clever things to say. Now, not so much.

I guess your cleverness just slipped away!
Deet - I was supposed to go to the Fringe Festival in '91 and had to cancel at the last minute. I've been jonesing to go for a long time. First we must go to Norway though.
Well, DD, Edinburgh looks like it's only about a 2 - 3 hour flight from Oslo, so...
We spent one afternoon in Edinburgh about 12 years ago and it was magical. J2 was attending a conference in Glasgow so we took the train back and forth - just barely an hour trip. I just loved it and would love to go back. Glasgow, not so much.

I could do Glasgow - if John Barrowman were in town.
Q, I'm sure you could do Glasgow, Edinburgh, New Castle, and London if John Barrowman were in town
I'm sure you could even if he weren't in town.
