Happy Tuesday Adults. I hope everyone is doing well.
I hope you are all having better weather than we are out here. In SoCal, when rain hits, everyone freaks out and we act like an ant hill on acid.
Californians and rain always amuses my transplanted bestie.

You think you would appreciate the rain!
We have had sun lately with highs of 30's - not too bad for Chi in winter!
brd, the drainage system out there isn't set up for rain, or at least not that much of it.

I love the rain, so long as I don't have to drive in it! And we need it, just not for a week straight (it is scheduled to rain until Friday).
It actually is pretty difficult at night to drive in the rain and still see the lines on the road, so I really hate coming home at night when it is raining.
More than that, I hate all of the transplanted drivers who cannot drive in the rain. (I swear, most of them come from NY/NJ).

When I first moved here, it was 9 months before there was any measurable precipitation. and then it rained - a lot. The first morning, the news reported that there had been 400 accidents within a 1 hour time span. I just couldn't believe it. The ONLY plausible explanation I've heard is that, because it rains so little, the incredible amount of car traffic here builds up an inordinate amount of oil on the roads - which then becomes an oil slick when it rains.
I still think it has more to do with people who make NO accomodations for the different driving conditions - they STILL want to go too fast and leave NO room for error.
It is rough driving at night in the rain, it's true.
Hello all!
It's a lovely Summer's day. Anyone for tennis?
Sure. But I always end up with love.
Lucky you.

Not a big fan of love, over-rated!
Hi GH! Any trips to Chi in the future?
Brd! You shock me. What happened to that romantic lawyer we all know and love?
Alas, no trips on the horizon.

romantic? Hilarious! Mrs. Brd would rather describe me as grumpy!
I also have no trips planned other than to school to pay tuition.
I am reminded of a little bit of dialogue from What's Up, Doc?
Eunice: Over the years romance fades and you know what takes its place?
Howard: Senility.
Eunice: (shouts) TRUST!
Cute, Hep.
I don't feel like going to work today. Anyone up for playing hookey? Even if on the Right Coast you only have 20 mins left?
"What's Up Doc?" is one of my favorites, Hep! So hilariously funny, and Madeline Kahn is BRILLIANT!
Shira, at first glance I thought you were asking if anyone was up for playing HOCKEY, and I almost had a stroke.

It might get awkward if I played such games with anyone on this board!

There might be some on this board that surprise you.
Of course, just the fact that they're straight might be surprise enough
