Yes. A woman for whom I also dogsit and babysit wants me to cook for her. She's had personal chefs in the past, and was impressed by my mother's raving about my cooking (and of course we talked about what she'd like).

To elaborate, this is what I'm doing for the first week. (And then I'll stop, Deet and Shamey).

Chopped Peppers, Celery, Carrots (the ready to run stuff).

Menu Items:

Barley Salad
Paprika and Tomato Poached Chicken
Baked Chicken
Cabbage Salad
Lime-Ginger Cod with Botija Olives
Roasted Asparagus, Eggplant, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes
Ricotta Cheesecake

She wanted to me to cook for her as a Type 2 Diabetic - have carbs and protein COMPLETELY separate, but stable and good. I wanted to prepare at least one "starch". The cheesecakes are small and sugar free and DELICIOUS.

So yeah. That's one of my new jobs.

Well, I loved FANNY, but J2 did not. La Lansbury was sitting in front of us. She appeared to enjoy it, and she looked radiant.

Morning peeps! Crazy morning. We are now officially the same name as our French parent company. I came into an ECO friendly bag on my desk which included a great big green water bottle, a hot/cold travel mug and a pin with Sean Connery's face on it that reads "It's time for a change". The note inside the bag said..."as part of the greening of the New York office, and as a cost-saving measure, use these items so we can cut down on the use of cardboard trays and Strofoam cups." I guess they want us to carry our lunch from the cafeteria in these bags...better than those flimsy a$$ boxes. I like their thinking though.

I had an e-mail waiting for me from one of the security guards that works weekends. During his security tour through my section he saw my pop up buddies, or as he called them "those little squeeze dolls" and "I need to buy them at a store or on-line for my Grandchild or me, GRANDPA".

Wants me to e-mail at home if I know where he can get them.

YES - I immediately thought of last week's episode of "The Office"! If you haven't seen it yet, Boobs, you MUST watch it on Hulu or On Demand. That's the way Dunder-Mifflin was changed and it wasn't pretty.

Just got back from an exploratory walk around the development. Yeah, we're not getting out of here anytime soon.

Bleh is right. And I do have chocolate - 60 calorie Jello brand chocolate mousse. I need to stock up before tomorrow's storm, though.

Work is preparing us for tomorrow nights storm. They are offering to put us up at the hotel across the street. I told them that I would work from home...what would Joop do without her daddy? I need to protect her from the snow demons.
