Shrimp parm hero for lunch. Why do I even care that it's Lent...not like I am a practicing Catholic. Silly things we do because we were conditioned as kids to do.
I'm with you boobs. I'm conditioned not to eat meat on friday's, and I try not too, but if I forget, oh well, its tasty.
Tinky, I did that on Wednesday. I had a salad with chicken and then a co-worker comes walking in with ashes on her forehead....ooopppppsssssss
Here's one for Tink. Though, I guess we can all share it.
I have such guilt if I eat meat on Friday's during Lent. I hear Babci spinning in her grave, or shaking her finger at me, and in her Polish accent, "Now Girly, darling...no more!!"
Never do I crave a burger or steak more than on a Friday in Lent.

It's healthier to forgo red meat at least once a week. You're doing it for your body. When I buy meat now I make sure it's grass-fed, not grain-fed and that it's hormone and antibiotic free. Scary what they put in our food these days.
Which is why CHOCOLATE is your only safe food.
I ate meat today. Oops.
Then again, I'm a pretty horrible Catholic anyway.
Ohhh, I want one of those tiaras with spikes so if they kid goes for my hair again he will get poked!!

JG, I just read your ordeal. Good lord! I'm so sorry you have to deal with that.
I like the idea of registering for a Honeymoon. If I can give a gift that is what a couple truly wants and can use, then that's good in my book!
I am staying up WAY too late watching the Olympic coverage. Loved the skating last night and agree with all comments regarding Weir, scoring and sore losers!
I am fighting the start of a little cold that I appear to have picked up from travelling. It will be a good evening to go home and tuck in with orange juice and more Olympic coverage.
I posted photos on Facebook of our trip to Vancouver. Will be happy to email the link to anyone who is not on FB. Just PM me your email.
Speaking of PM, what's up with the Facebook symbol? I can't keep up...
Can today please end? I am so sleepy...
Happy Friday, one and all!
It's Lent!?!
Oh.

Word of warning, Addy: don't try to watch the olympics under the influence of Nyquil. One moment you're watching a French ice skater, you blink, and all of a sudden you're watching wmoen's snowboarding. And the clocks all raced ahead by an hour. Strange stuff!
Deet! Has it warmed up out there?
