Amber, that truly sucks.
"Um, are you effing kidding me?"
Um, NO.
"I need to win the lottery too."
You need to earn your money, sweetie. See earlier suggestion.
And as long as I'm awake:
Mornin'
and, for Girly (just because):
Morning peeps! These damn Olympics had me up later than I wanted to be. I had to see Evan's program...he skated beautifully! So happy he got the Gold...that damn Russian is too arrogant for my liking! He was such a sore loser which he proved on the podium!
Amber that is horrible! I understand the kid has issues, but I still would have beat the S*it out of him...just my reaction to someone attacking me.
Let's hope Friday flies by. I don't want to be here today.
JG2 - no, registering for honeymoon items is very common now a days. My ex sister in law had her Cancun honeymoon registered for so people could upgrade rooms, set up trips, etc. For her bridal shower, we all gave her a romantic dinner on the beach and a tequilla tasting tour. Personally, I'd rather buy someone something they could really want then the same freakin dish set.
I was watching the girl snow boarders last night. I have never seen so much falling in my life!
I agree Tinky, but we sometimes forget that they are only human. I am sure the adrenaline and all the hours of practice catches up with them. A lot of pressure on these athletes. I could never do it. Although I would have made a great ice skater...my costumes would have been FABULOUS and of course my music would get the crowds dancing in their seats!

Hey, kiddles.
Everytime they do a triple or attempt a quad, I swear my heart jumps in my throat right along with them. And everytime someone falls, I gasp.

Mornin' Kids
I saw The 39 Steps last night and was disappointed. Oh well.
Then I got home and fell asleep during the skating. Hopefully, they'll be recaps.
Brd...I thought Evan's routine was exquisite. It was as close to perfection than I have ever seen. I was so happy he won the Gold...I was in tears...he so deserved it! The Russian is such a sore loser...his arrogance finally caught up with him. I think Johnny Wier was robbed. His scores should have been higher. He could have won the bronze. I mean even with the mistakes Japan made the guy won the bronze...makes no sense, but I guess he had a better short program. I also cried for the other Japenese kid whos lace came undone. I was glad that he got to finish his routine. He showed that he is a professional!

I agree that Wier was robbed. Evan stated that his goal was to skate his best performance regardless of the competition. The quad issue is just stupid. The Russian's footwork, etc. was simply boring and that was the last 1/4 of his routine. His 11 o'clock number was at 8!

I thought Weir should've scored higher, too. On the news following, they were at an ice rink in Wayne talking to folks. Seems he had been training there. Mail gets delivered to him there, too. haha!

So, in an interview, Weir says that he's considering retiring from skating to begin a career in fashion.
“I want to create art more than anything and the way I want to do it is through fashion. I want to go to the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and really learn the basics of fashion from the ground up."
This is just a heads-up for SOMEONE in this group......
Well I hope he doesn't design a head piece like he sported last night after his routine...lol. He looked like Mother Mary at the May crowning.
