The lack of communication in my office is ASTOUNDING! Don't you think it's rather strange that I get information about casting, rehearsals, TICKET PRICING, etc... through reading Facebook posts from authors and cast members!?!
IF I don't explode today, tomorrow's staff meeting is going to be eye-opening for some people. Especially one person here who is the Hoover Dam in the lines of communication.
Yikes, D2!!!!! I hate that.
I said screw this and headed home. Roads are all slush which is the most dangerous. Slid a few times but having driven the Trans Am and Camaro in snow, I can handle pretty much any car, so all safe and sound. I hope people dont push it too late because it's becoming ickier.
*takes hot coffee away from Deet*
I'm heading out in about 10 minutes.
Moony, he was supposed to be, but heard earlier that he's under the weather and was still in bed, so I don't believe he's going into either location.
I hemmed and hawed about stopping at the store on the way home last night. I didn't really need much except half and half and a few items that I had planned on getting before the snow came up. When I got near home, I figured what they heck, just go, it wouldn't take too long. When I don't have to get much, I go to a store one town over, cause it's a smaller store and you're in and out much quicker. My phone rang while I was in the last aisle, and it was Boobs asking if I knew where a certain train station was. I was like, um, yeah, I spent more time in that town, than it seemed I did in my own when I was growing up, since half my relatives lived there. I told him that I was in that town right now at the grocery store. Seems the train he got on, which was the same one he took the night before wasn't going as far as his stop last night, so he would've had to wait for the next train to come to get to his stop, which was the next freakin' one. So, I played taxi service last night. But that was okay, cause I got to unexpectedly see the little girl. And gave him a quick tour of my church, the hospital I was born in and he saw the store I was just at, and the street my grandmother lived on. LOL! Thrilling for him.
So funny that I did decide to stop at the store. I've never heard of that station ever being the last stop, ever, but they've built a whole new one, so maybe certain times it will be. Weird.

I think that's the plot from an episode of the twilight Zone, Girly: "Train Stop in a Small Town". I don't think it ends well, though.
I just talked to my dad for an hour. Is it sad that I have more intelligent and enjoyable convos with him then 90% of the people that I talk to? (present company excluded of course)
No, Tink, I think that's wonderful. My Dad and I were rarely able to have long conversations so treasure that. 1st anniversary today, btw. Mixed feelings.
Well that is how my mom and I are. Our relationship has taken leaps and bounds in the last few years, but our convos never stray from random chit chat. If we go to dinner, there is more silence than anything. I've become ok with it.
awww, *hugs* D2. firsts are always the roughest!
*hugs* to Deet. *takes away his Mocha, just in case*
Mornin'. *grumble*
Hey Kids!
Since BWW decided to let me in without a fuss today, I wanted to come by and say, "See ya'll in 11 days!" Woot!
I'll drop a text or an email when I get a chance.
Love ya,

Tink - you're looking to change jobs? I thought the one you have was fun - no?
I do enjoy my job and company but work has become pretty much non existent. I get paid well to pretty much do nothing right now, which would make some people happy, but I am beyond bored and feel like I'm wasting prime working time. I like to learn and be challenged.

D2, I often think of you in reference to my parents who are both are on borrowed time. Many health issues, but still plugging along. I enjoy all of my conversations with them. My mother is just so positive and downright gossipy, she loves pop culture and dishes about what is going on in the world!
I thought for sure today that we would finally take to trial an old dog, but continued again!

Tink - I'm old, tired and ready for your type of job.

Sounds good to me, Moony.
Although truthfully, all I've ever wanted to be is a housewife.
With a staff.
So hire the dang staff! You've already got the first part.
I'm home. Decided not to go into the city later. Temp supposed to drop, and it'll only be worse when it's time to come home.

Did that for 7 years, Deet. It's not as glamour as it seems.
Girly - you are a wise woman!
I tried, Girly, but Shira just wouldn't cooperate.

By the way, Girly, I thought of you during an email exchange with my daughter this morning. She REALLY, REALLY want to go to NYC for a few days in March. What is TOP on her list to see and do? A trip to a certain bakery! She's jealous that we didn't take her with us in January. I said, "Sure, I know how to get there on the train and it's just a 3 block walk." Her response, "The train to Hoboken???? Really? That is SO exciting!!!" She is the only person I know who could put the words "exciting" and "Hoboken" together - and mean it!
LOL!! I think a lot of people consider Hoboken exciting. The nightlife, ya know. Just ask Tink. I bet she knows!
I guess she just wants to say she's been there? Since she can't eat anything from there? Poor girl.
I thought of something last night, when I remembered you writing about scouting out restaurants to go to. Adam's wife, Cybele, wrote a gluten-free cookbook, and one with baked goodies. Don't know if she has them or is interested, but thought I'd mention it. She has a website too, and is on FB.
