I'm having a fabulous day, though that's usually the case when I'm working from my living room.
Hearing lots of sirens in the distance. Hope it's not too bad.
Tink, I'll have to see if I can catch it!
I want to do Fondue!! For realz!!
Oh good God. Did I actually just type that? *hangs head in shame*

Well, this puts things in perspective:
Man Killed By Falling Tree Branch In Central Park
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a falling tree branch while he was walking in Central Park on Thursday afternoon, CBS 2 has learned.
Officials confirmed a 53-year-old man was walking in the park at E. 67th Street and Fifth Avenue when the tree limb fell on top of him shortly before 3:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
There is no word on whether the broken tree limb was caused by the snow storm bearing down on the city.
I guess my day isn't *quite* so horrible...

Oh my God.
And people laugh at me when I say that nature is best observed in picture books or through picture windows.
Seriously, though, how sad.

A bus got stuck on train tracks in my hometown a few minutes ago. Luckily the bus driver got all the passengers evacuated and the oncoming train was able to slow down enough that there were no injuries. But the report is that the bus spun 180.
If you watch any of the evening news and see story about Little Falls, NJ...that's it.

Hi Hep!
I'm heading out into the weather to meet a friend for a coffee, and then home to the "not quite" penthouse.

Good!
How's it in the city? I haven't looked outside in a while, so I have no idea what's going on at the moment.

The coffee became a martini, (well, two) then dinner with J2 and we are now comfortably ensconced at home.

"The coffee became into a martini, (well, two)"
With that sentence structure, are you sure you only had two?

What?
The winds are starting to pick up, the streets/sidewalks are very slick and slushy, and the snow just keeps on fallin'.
