Sorry for all your snow, Northerners! All we're getting is high winds and snow showers. I don't think I could have faced another big storm.
I'm to that point now Moony. Any storm after this will really piss me off. I was lucky though, no power outages or anything like a lot of people got. A tree fell on a line at my mom's house yesterday. I had to get a bunch of neighbors there to cut it down, but luckily no damage and she kept power. Scary though since I was snowed in here and my brother was MIA.
It's very...white out there.
And bright. I felt like such a dork driving home yesterday. I had to put my sunglasses on, in the snowstorm, cause the brightness was hurting my eyes. Thank God I didn't have the sun to contend with, too.
Morning!

Wow, Deet! I'm going to bring up some webcams to watch the NYC snow. A woman from my office is headed up there this morning for a long weekend with her husband. I hope Amtrak is still running into the city.
How many inches in New Jersey, ladies?
I'm 8 miles from NYC and we have about 12-15 i think
I'm working from home, too. The building's closed, but the motto is: have laptop, have to work.
I haven't even opened a door to look outside yet. Can't really tell from my window. News reports run the gamut for the various parts of the state. I missed what Bill Evans of Eyewitness News was telling me.

NYC must be very good at dealing with snow. I'm looking at a live shot of Broadway (at Times Square) and the street is just wet. Amazing!
I think I have to go out and shovel in a bit. They shoveled a path between our cars, and from what I can see, next to the shoveled area, it looks to be about a foot or more! I may be housebound for a while.

I am working from home today, also. An email was sent out this morning that they closed the office today.
I actually had to go into the office early this morning to grab some things I need for today - because I have to cover for a couple of people (long story...). So, I was up at the crack of dawn, and in the office (which is closed), and back home before 8am!
It's actually a very busy day, and trying to coordinate all of the usual work is a bit tricky, but, it's much better than having everyone trying to commute!
I decided to treat myself to a Dunkin Donuts coffee and 2 glazed donuts this morning. Except when I got home there was only 1 donut in the bag! I paid for two. Normally I would go back, but... not today! I guess it's a reminder of my March 1st 'resolution'!
Hope everyone has a warm and safe snow day!

You need to move to Times Square. I'm sure there's a box available for @ $500,000.
Something on the neighbor's snowblower broke, and they hadn't even gotten to an 1/8th of the driveway yet. All I could see was this large expanse of snow behind my car, and the clumps at the end from the plow. My heart sunk. Some guy was snowblowing next door, and the woman asked him if he would do behind our cars and open the driveway when he was done there. He said sure. We offered him money, which he wouldn't take. At least towards the gas, you know? But nope. I'm letting the kid next door keep my share, since he shoveled all around my car and had started shoveling behind it for me, too.

I think it's supposed to be going on until early evening, but to tell you the truth, even though I have the tv on, I'm not really hearing. It's just all white noise to me. I do need to pay attention to what they're saying.

I heard it's supposed to continue into tomorrow, possibly Sunday.
I have no idea what it's like at home. I just know school is canceled. At least I missed a day home with the kid.
I miss you guys. I need a brunch or something.

We have a nice cold sunny day! We have been spared this winter!
NO! must end by tomm morn...or at least be enough to let me shovel out and be and about. I have my company party and have a really hot dress to be wearing, so better not get ruined!
I have to be able to get out of town for errands at some point this weekend, so the snow had better stop!
In the meantime, I'm wishing I was spending the day in front of the fireplace at Cornelia Street Cafe, drinking coffee and mimosa's and having french toast!
JG2 - we DO need a brunch soon!
Amber, we really should try to plan something before you leave!! Worse comes to worse, we can meet at a diner or somewhere in Jersey! LOL!
THROUGH SUNDAY??!! I REALLY need to start listening to these guys!
Hopefully, they're wrong. It almost looks like the sun is trying to come out by me.

Not here. It's still snowing like a mofo.
It went back in, but now it's kinda out again. Not sure if it's accompanied with snow.
I think I miss the days before non stop reporting came about. I'm sick of listening to it.

Snow stopped and melting -- blacktop where I shoveled out.
That's a good sign!
