The TinMan and I still haven't settled on whether or not to get another dog, but I get to play a bit over the next couple of weeks dog-sitting for a neighbor. They have a Bassett named Sherman, who is exactly what a Bassett should be - complete fun. And they also have a rescued mutt named Kirby, who I swear is EXACTLY like Dug from UP - lokks like AND acts like!

I'll be having a lot of fun with them

I hear ya on the sun part, Tink. By now, I usually have a little bit of one, but this year...nothing.

I want shrimp. I keep seeing ads/commericals for seafood.

Oh, boy. I just spent about 1/2 an hour with the pups. They remembered me, and just gave me all the love - and I came home and fell apart.

Wellllll . . . I had only been the evil step-mother to our own kids - the TinMan already had them in place. So, he's not much of a deterrent!

I accept fully how much I would love some aspects of fur-parenthood - but I also know how much I don't like other aspects.

We'll see.
