That would be a yes, I presume?
It's a sort of.
I really like that pic of Rupert.

Me too, although I think he's gotten better looking with a little age on him.
When are you seeing him?

Not sure yet. I'll let you know. BTW: Love the pic w/him.
Thanks.
Haven't done that in ages. My friend actually pulled me over. Felt very silly.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of stage-dooring myself.
But the pic is nice.
D2!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss you.
Thanks. I think she was afraid she'd never hear the end of it if she didn't. Soooo...
I have NO idea where she'd get that impression from!!

Off to my father's. My mother and I had a huge blowout, so I'm off to Dad's.
I sort of feel like he should drop me off at the neuropsych institute on the way. Ugh.
I sort of feel like he should drop you off at LAX, Shira, but that's another story.
TINK!!!! I miss you too.
And Girly, I have no idea where she'd get that impression either.
Aw, thanks D2.
Mom keeps telling me "How can you say I anger issues or whatever? Look at all these friends I have and how much they love me".
If that determines it, she has no idea how much love I have from the friends I have made through this board and the true, even unconditional love from some that was never expected. If you are regarded by your friends, I consider myself beyond fortunate and thankful.
In the meantime, her ENTIRE apartment is filled with quotes like this:
?The labor of women in the house, certainly, enables men to produce more wealth than they otherwise could; and in this way women are economic factors in society. But so are horses.? - Charlotte P. Gillman
"A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small bundle."
~ Benjamin Franklin
And that's ONLY the beginning. She truly HATES men. She's an absolute celibate feminist.
And I'm me. So you can imagine that eventually, something would erupt.
Oh, and until I said "STOP", she continually pointed out that my father doesn't love me because he's incapable of love and he enslaved her for 28 years and blah blah blah...". I may argue with my Dad. But I KNOW he loves me. And he doesn't condescend and treat me like child. My mother I know loves me. But I don't know as what.
And of course, the main reason I'm back in Westwood. Just let me SULK people. I was just yanked out of my incredible social life and love, put in bed, and said "don't move for 6 weeks". Yeah...like that's been going well. Now I can be sulky AND not move. Except that my father doesn't have ANYTHING kosher for passover so I have to go shopping with him. He may be senile, but at least he SHOWS affection.
/rant.
ETA: I just want to say how grateful I am FOR the surgery I went through, and that the limit on movement isn't too excruciating, but when I'm angry...well, I like to jog. Get's that physical part done. And since I can't get it out, it stews and erupts.
ETA AGAIN: Am I nothing more than an angsty child?
Shira, sometimes you make my family sound absolutely normal.
But your mom is right, you are loved by many people, and that makes you very wealthy.
*hugs YWIW*
Thanks.
*tear rolls down cheek*

Except in our version, every time a bell rings, Q drinks some nice aged Scotch.
Shira, you are loved.
Now, take an aspirin because what I am about to post may give you a slight heart attack.
I'm boycotting Bloomingdale's.
Wow, that just made me realize I have a couple of gift cards I have never used.
Send 'em my way, YWIW.
Deet, what HAPPENED?
Oh, and I'm on WAY better than aspirin, I assure you.
Aspirin helps prevent heart attacks, Shira.
Imagine my surprise when I got a call from a collection agency today requesting payment for my Bloomie's bill. A bill which had been paid MONTHS ago (and I have the bank records to prove it)
Apparently, my Bloomingdale's card is also a Visa card, and they had credited the money to Visa. And I would have to make another payment to Bloomingdale's because they couldn't debit one account and pay the other. It didn't seem to matter to them that charges that are made outside of Bloomie's go to the Visa, purchases in the store go to Bloomie's - and they had the records showing that
1) I had never used the card outside of the store.
2) I had made the payments on time.
And then they threatened to cancel the card. So I called their bluff and told them to go ahead. And all of sudden there was a way for them to move the money from Visa to Bloomingdale's. Good.
And then I cancelled the card.
Idiots. I've almost completely cleaned up my credit, so that feels good.
YWIW - Being the boycott is not moral, those Bloomingdales cards? They probably don't expire, but just in case, I'd be happy to help you out. You want new shoes? Let's find then!
Shira, if you put one unclad (or clad) foot into Bloomie's while I'm mad at them, well, let's just put it this way: your bank account with 3 days of credit is closed.
On a whole different note, my refi finally closed...
I have a couple of cards to Bloomies and Macy's, BB&B and Crate & Barrel. The Crate & Barrel is so old that it is scary. They closed the CC store, and I have not found a reason to go to the other one.
I also have a spa one I have not used. Maybe I will use it on my BD this year (it is that or Disneyland).
I never got into the whole shoes thing. It is odd being a woman but thinking like a dude sometimes.
And vice versa, I assure you, You.
Oh, YWIW. We need to go shopping. When I can be more active, we're SO going shopping.
Deet. Got it.
