And just in time for Harris' big birthday celebration. Chik-fil-a declared today to be "Cow Appreciation Day"! Though, there's this one little catch that only Harris would enjoy:
Dress like a cow, get a free meal!
thanks everyone
party this year is gonna be fun, my roomie planed it.
it's a sort of tour of dc, stop various places to get a clue to the next place. but in some locations i have to do something to gain it . first stop is a sing along piano bar, i have to sing one of the following songs alone to get it.
the list is
"you could drive a person crazy or getting married today from company and sing all parts alone
comedy tonight from forum
or mr celophane from chicago

I like "you Could Drive a Person Crazy', but that's just me.
I'll be in DC tonight at a birthday party at Founding Farmers. We'll be singing a rousing chorus of "Farmer in the Dell". They serve really good grass-fed beef!
Computer problems again this morning. Now the laptop won't sync with the screen. I should have just stayed home.
Mornin'
SoMMS, I feel your pain. I had a mini-meltdown in the Apple Store yesterday while trying to make an appointment @ the Genius Bar. Trying to sync my phone and iPad to my laptop had me near tears.
Still not fully synced, either.
And let's not even discuss the password situation...
So I went to Lord & Taylor for some retail therapy. It worked.
Mornng peeps! I had a nice weekend with Doxy and his bf. It started out slow being they were on a train from NY to NJ which was delayed because someone decided to jump on the tracks in Metuchen and screwed up all rail service. It was a nightmare!I finally had to drive to another station to pick them up. Saturday all they wanted to do was go to the outlets. Had a nice day in Flemington. Yesterday they relaxed as I went to a friend's surprised 50th B-day. They are now on a bus heading for D.C.
Morning peoples!

Belated good morning! Had a delightful weekend - two trips downtown, surprise birthday party for a friend, dinner with the godson and his girlfriend AND saw the new IMAX film "Tornado Alley". So unfair to have the weekend ....well...end.
Moony, how was "Tornado Alley"? I was thinking about seeing it at the Liberty Science Center. BTW I never thought about this, but was it ever referenced any where that in "Oklahoma" they got Ado Annie's name from torn-Ado?

They did???? How cool! I never knew that!
It was really good, but I must confess that the film taken from within the tornado was a bit disappointing. Not a single cow flew by. Loved the fact that it's narrated by Bill Paxton. I'm sure that wasn't coincidental.
I don't know if they did...I'm asking if anyone knows if they did. I always wondered where they got Ado from and it just hit me as I read your post.
