Mornin'
There are Dunkin' Donuts on almost every corner here. It ain't just America runnin' on those things.
Gorgeous weather here: sunny, cool and breezy. I've walked around a lot of the former East Berlin -- that's where we're staying -- and this is a strange city -- very, very quiet. Even the busiest areas are not all that crowded. I kind of like it.
As for my shopping, there isn't anything here that I can't get at home (and for less money.) I haven't spent a penny on anything yet. KaDaWe, the BIG department store here (think German Harrod's) is pretty far from our hotel -- it's in the former West Berlin -- so that will be my big adventure tomorrow.
And evidently, my maternal grandmother's German genes (she was French/German) are showing: all day I've been stopped by people who think I'm from here and start asking me questions if rapid German. When I tell them I'm from New York and don't "sprecken ze Deutsch," they all claim to be surprised. In perfect English. It's rather humbling.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
