That works. Carbs is carbs.
I want these donuts! For those of you not from North Carolina, this is the ULTIMATE combination of Southern nirvana. Cheerwine is sort of like a Cherry Coke and I have it shipped to my house. Krispy Kreme's you know, but you may not have known that store #2 was/is only a block from my high school. I lived there! They're only selling them in the South, so I can't have one (thousand!) and it's killing me.

So let get this straight - because it's important to know these things. Is the donut cherry cola flavored? What's the connection?
it has a cherry cola creme filling.
and, this is genius advertising!

I WANT ONE....NOW!!!
Mornin'
There are Dunkin' Donuts on almost every corner here. It ain't just America runnin' on those things.
Gorgeous weather here: sunny, cool and breezy. I've walked around a lot of the former East Berlin -- that's where we're staying -- and this is a strange city -- very, very quiet. Even the busiest areas are not all that crowded. I kind of like it.
As for my shopping, there isn't anything here that I can't get at home (and for less money.) I haven't spent a penny on anything yet. KaDaWe, the BIG department store here (think German Harrod's) is pretty far from our hotel -- it's in the former West Berlin -- so that will be my big adventure tomorrow.
And evidently, my maternal grandmother's German genes (she was French/German) are showing: all day I've been stopped by people who think I'm from here and start asking me questions if rapid German. When I tell them I'm from New York and don't "sprecken ze Deutsch," they all claim to be surprised. In perfect English. It's rather humbling.
Did you get a German Starbucks mug?
Yes, Boobs, but I got it when I was in Aachen 4 years ago. J2 and I went to one this morning before he headed to his conference and all the merchandise is now the same as in the states -- not a single German mug in the place.
WOW. Luckily you got it back then. I wonder if they stopped making them for the different countries now? I'll have to chekc with my friends in Singapore.
I know -- J2 has put a moratorium on my buying any more mugs anyway. "We have way too many as it is!"
Sometimes when he speaks, I do listen. Not often, but when he gets that "tone" in his voice, I know I'd better take heed.
Flies in...HI
Flies out...BYE!!

I think that one of those scissor mug holder thingies would look splendid in the entry hall.
Wow, that was so fast her halo fell off.
*tosses it back to her*
ETA: SoMMS, he said I could get a dog. I ain't doin' nothin' to piss him off until after we get it and he's fallen in love with it.

Morning.
Our houseguest is getting ready to depart. He's been here since the 6th. That's long enough. We're ready to have our house to ourselves again.
So that's what that was....I thought it was a doughnut and grabbed it as Deet tossed it and tossed it to Moony.
Well, yes, but you'll also need a place to hang all of the dog collars and leashes near the door.
Not all of them.

Why am I chewing on a halo?
Throw it away, Moony. It will give you the cooties!
IT WILL NOT!!!
