Look at your map, Tink: I'm at the corner of Friedrichestrasse and Behrenstrasse. A block from the Unter den Linden, three blocks from the Brandenburg Gate and four from the Reichstag.
There's got to be a pill for that.
SoMMS, I'm working on a lyric (for what, I don't know) that includes the following:
"I'm done with plotzing over platzes, and stressing crossing strasses..."
They give you barely five seconds to get across a street here. It can be terrifying when you see that streetcar bearing down on you.
But it is true that no one jay walks, everybody waits for the light to change before crossing the street even when there is no traffic in either direction, no one texts while walking and the bicyclists OBEY THE TRAFFIC LAWS!
"I'm sure that they are simply honoring your request for "me" time."
SOMMSY...that email was sent way before I mentioned "me" time....which I still won't have for a couple of more weeks. Plus "me" time just means being in my house...anyone can come and play with me there.
I found you, Mr. D2! You are near the Deutsche Guggenheim & Galleries Lafayette. Aigner is an Austrian restaurant on the corner and serves Tafelspitz as a speciatly.
I don't know what it is, but I'd pass on the Tafelspitz
broiled beef with horseradish
Yes, I can see the Galleries Lafayette from the window, Tink. Went there yesterday, as a matter of fact. I've walked past the Guggenheim a couple of times, but haven't gone in yet - I'm waiting for J2 to be free so we can go together. And I'll look up that restaurant. We're going to a place called "Cookie's Creme" tonight - it's supposed to be terrific. It's around the corner from the hotel.
Deet, Viel Spaß
All that spitzing and creming -- I need to get to Germany.
Ja, Boobs, ja!
SoMMS, don't forget the leggy blonds.
And for Harris: the restaurant we're going to this evening is vegetarian.
Tomorrow night, though, may have to be Tafelspitz. Or Saurbraten. Mit dumplings.
Hilo, kiddles. Today is Godbaby #1's birthday.

Good morning peeps! One of those mornings here at work where applications are down, Singapore knows about it for 8 hours and our helpless desk doesn't know what to do about it. Good times!!!

Sit back, relax and have a donut. And bring us one, too.
Good morning!
Morning.
Got an 'Employee Perk' e-mail with listings for restaurant deals. One of the offers is for $25 GC for Angus McEndoe for $3. I can get up to 3 discounts, I believe. When you coming back up, Moony?

GASP!!!! Wait - what's a GC?
Nevermind, if it's consumable, I'm in.
"Gift Card"?
Next Week is Employee Appreciation Week. Monday the entire LA office is going to LA Live (about 5 blocks away) to watch Captain America. Tuesday/Wednesday we are doing lunch at the ESPN Zone.
But, no gift cards for beef!
