NZ is too close to Australia for my comfort. This news is disturbing me.
Well, at least they have warning. Hopefully, they're evacuating the coastal areas.
We're having our crazy NW weather... cold mornings (low 40s) and warm days (70s) during the week, and rainy and cool (highs in the 50s) all weekend long.
I'm so glad I have a window at work.
just like your sinuses, heh Cookie?

Cookie, did you see my question on the previous page? Wondering if you know anything about those places.

The sinuses are fine now, SOMMSy!
Sorry girly! Thank you for pointing that out to me, otherwise, I would have missed your question!
Smith & Wollensky - Yes. Delish. Actually, my favorite of the bunch. And have the baked potato as a side. It sounds odd, but it is everything a baked potato wished it could be.
Park Avenue Cafe - Yes. Yummy.
The Post House - Yes. Double yummy.
Cite - Yes. Yummy.
Maloney & Porcelli - Yes. Skip it. Your money's better spent at the ones above.
After checking out the websites, I was leaning towards Smith and Wollensky. I keep forgetting I have a Gift Card that I got for my birthday last year that can be used at any of those spots. I really need to make a plan to finally get there.
Thanks!

Not that you asked, but I agree with Cookie.
Though I would rank them as follows:
Smith & Wollensky
Cite
Post House
Park Avenue Cafe
Maloney & Porcelli.
Cite' offers a 'wine dinner' which can be a real treat.
More info:
Cité's Famous Wine Dinner
Known for its ever-popular wine dinner, Cité, a steakhouse in the theater district is the perfect place to indulge for two or in a group. After 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, or after 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, the Wine Dinner prix fixe kicks in and the restaurant fills up with spirits. The 13 year old tradition features four award winning wines, each an accoutrement to one course or the other, poured freely while you enjoy dinner. There is no catch. For $69.00 choose from any appetizer on the menu, any entree and any dessert - and the wines are "on the house."
Cite' also has the lighter fare Cite' Grill right next door.
Maybe I'll eeney meeney miney moe them!
Thanks for the info!

How can I forget about the wine dinner that Addy mentioned, at Cite'?
And for that price, given what premium beef is costing nowadays, along with a good appetizer, that's a STEAL!!!

uh-oh.... beacon is cracking under the strain!
Beacs did you see this at ATC?
"Only once did the show shine: when Amanda threw Patrick his underwear in her Act Three tirade, some of his briefs went into the first row of the theatre. Patrick eloquently motioned to the audience members to hand them to him."

Beacon, would you have handed them back if you caught a pair?
Broadway Legend Joined: 1/31/04
Well, I'm sure I would have fully INTENDED to...but when Mister Wilson leaned over to retrieve them, well...perhaps I'd be tempted to take HIM as a souvenoir, too!
I wonder if everyone DID hand them back or just subtly dropped one in their lap and handed back the others.
And, did Amanda just aim poorly or was she trying to through Mister Wilson off that night?

Would beacon have then appeared on Law and Order: Criminal Intent?

"Criminal Intent"...!!!
Why Cookie! as I pointed out to Mister Wilson at the BITP barricades, "I'm a good Mormon girl"...and I shared that protest with him after I popped him on the elbow for what he wrote on my playbill.
I'm sweet and innocent. Truly!

Well...you were all witnesses! All Mister Wilson did was laugh and tell me "you can't "B.S." a "B.S.-er".
Like he's ON to me or something. Like he's read my posts. Like he's read my MIND.
