I watched Raising Helen and The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants this weekend, and cried during both. I'm such a sap.

I love Imitation of Life.
The one with Lana Turner, Rath? I've seen the original and that made me cry too, but I still LOVE the Lana Turner one..it's the one my Mom introduce me to years ago. I would come home from school and there she would be washing dishes and cooking balling her eyes out..it would always take me a second to realize what was on T.V.
Yes, the Lana Turner one. I thought that was the original - there's another one?
oh really girly =(
sniff
*cries*
I didn't expect these movies to make me cry. They were just a couple I never got around to seeing. Yeah, I know that list is long. I'll have to read what The Notebook's about.

The Notebook is a sure-fire tearjerker, Girly. Two Kleenex boxes.

Yes..the original was with Claudette Colbert. She doesn't play an actress in it..just a business woman. I have the 2 disc set...it has both movies. I watched it one night after friends told me that I had to. It's in black & white and may me weep like a baby too..but the Lana Turner one just is amazing with Mahalia Jackson singing at the end...just thinking about it gives me chills.
It's a great one!
Have you ever seen the movie with Bernadette Petera and Rachel Ward where they are lovers in Ireland?
Silly, Harris.
Boobs, I'll be over Friday to watch it. Leave the key somewhere if you're not home.

You won't need the key, Girly. I'll let you in.
You're so cute, Rath.
I just started Rumor Has It. Mark Ruffalo is all over the place. He's in this and he was in 54, too! The other movie I borrowed is The Family Stone.

Hello
A long day of a church picnic and two graduation parties. I'm tired and full. The church picnic was a 25yr anniversary of when the church was established so it brought back many memories. Saw some friends I haven't seen in awhile but also reminded me of why I no longer go to that church. All in all a good day but sort of emotional. Speaking of emotional I too loved Imitation of Life. For me it was probably one of the first movies that had such a strong emotional impact that I can remember it to this day.
Rath..I always seem to catch that movie in the middle..of course I see Bernadette and watch it until it's over. One of these days I'll see the whole thing.
Girly..you may want to read the book "The Notebook"..it was one of my favories. My boss lend it to me and I loved it so much that I ran out to buy my own copy because it's one you need to have in your collection to re-read. Only 2 books ever made me cry...."The Front Runner" and "The Notebook"..thank God I was home when I finished both of them. "The Front Runner" I finsihed at my kitchen table when I was in college...I wept so much that I had to read the last couple of pages a couple of times. I remember my older brother asking if I was okay because I was heaving crying. God I should re-read that book. Of course I had to buy another copy because I lend it to a friend who never returned it.
Oooo! Girly thinks I'm cute!!

Boobs - Bernadette's character in that movie is totally me in a relationship.
It's so uncanny, I'm considering suing!
Maybe it's based on you and you never got paid for it..you better hire an attorney...well maybe you should work for an attorney who will pay you well and take on your case for free.
