I was just outside for a couple minutes, not even in the sun at all, and it is just awful out there. So glad this building we're in now has covered parking if you're in early enough. Which I always am. It'll still be stifling, but not as bad as if the sun was beating down on the car all day long.

Sometimes, I would so love a BWW feature that limits the number of threads an individual poster is allowed to start. So many per week, month. I don't know. Unrealistic, I know, but I can dream.

I was just reading that the NW is the only region in the US being spared of this heat wave. We're downright chilly - like sweater chilly - here right now. IT'S JULY!!!

Mom! I was looking at starting a knitting class over the weekend. There is a great shop here in the Castro - a bit expensive...but it seems like a great idea!

A friend asked me to join her knitting group. They're called 'Chicks with Sticks'

I also have Godiva vanilla with chocolate caramel hearts ice cream.

And I have lemon sorbet.

Addy - there is a women's book shop called Bodacias and they have a monthly night where they get together and discuss literature, politics and the arts while they work on their knitting. It's called the stitch and bitch.

I tried on a sweater over the weekend while window shopping.

It felt wrong (but looked decent).

I have a great shop in town as well cheeze. Webs in Northampton (which is huge and also on the internet is almost too much for me)

As long as I am making a scarf or an afghan I am fine. I'll move up to sweaters soon.

I don't do much knitting in the summer.

But I do always have a needlepoint project going.

I need to get started on another quilt.

(Where's BT? This used to be one of his favorite subjects!)

Oh, Cookie, I could NOT have tried on a sweater this weekend!

Some of the yarn is what caught my eye - especially the varigated angora. So soft! I think I spent two whole hours in there just touching and ooohing and ahhing. lol.
