Moonie..tomorrow is my last day here..I leave here on Sunday morning which is Saturday night there and I arrive home home on Sunday evening. Can't believe I have to go to work on Monday..only half a day though..and off on tuesday..just afraid of jet lag.

DD, thanks for the toothpaste tip for burns! Worked like a charm. Not nearly as nasty looking today as it would've been otherwise. I lied, though. It wasn't a 2" burn, but 1 3/4".

I'm so glad you tried it! Most people look at me like I have two heads when I tell them about it. It's not a myth... I once saw a little girl put her hand on one of those big irons used to put emblems on t-shirts. The first thing they did was put toothpaste on her hand. The mom said the next day, only a slight blister.

Hey brd...the trip is amazing. I love seeing different cultures. Singapore is very westernized..so it's a lot like home with many Oriental buildings though. Although you can't find bread crumbs here....I had to use Japanese ones..which are a lot finer than what I'm used to. Most people here speak English which makes it easier to get around. It's funny how safe you feel here too....crime rate of course is very low. I hear if you're in a fight that involves 4 people you'll be lucky to get a trial in a year..so you kind of sit in jail for that time.

Funny story...while we were on Bintan island a guy rings our bell and sounds like he is telling me that they will be flogging at 11 p.m....of course I got excited about this...took me awhile to realize that he was saying that they were fogging for bugs and wanted to make sure our windows and doors were closed tightly.

Hee Hee DD..they lifted the ban on chewing gum..well they only sell 2 brands here..do you think they'll know if I chew Dentine? You have to put your cigarettes out in ashtrays over garbage cans..I usually carry the butt until i find one. It's not as bad though as you would think. People are very friendly. They actually say to ne.."what are you?" When I say American they say.."You look Italian."
