I did it in Norfolk, Virginia - so there were always LOTS and LOTS of sailors in attendance.
Not that I noticed, or anything.
I just realized that was over a quater century ago.
I need to lie down now.

Shira, I want you to think about just one little thing for me, ok? I believe you've had many experiences where you enjoyed the ability of your godfathers to really do some magic.
Now. I want you to consider what happens when mama ain't happy.
Capice?
And remember, one of my favorite sayings is "Old age and treachery trumps youth and vigor."

"bows head in apology and remorse"
See, while the whole 'batting of eyelashes' thing has absolutely no effect on me, I DO get this particular response
That's ok, honey, we've all enjoyed our youth - I, myself, continue to this day.
Just remember that you're the ones who will end up wiping the drool off of our chins.

Oh, like you'd come to Queens, D2! You know I'll come into Manhattan to get put in my place.
And for the record...
"I believe you've had many experiences where you enjoyed the ability of your godfathers to really do some magic."
It's true. You gentlemen truly make my life incredibly magical. And I'm so grateful for you all.

"Never underestimate my ability to get to Queens, Shira."
That goes for me, as well.
And you KNOW I'm insane enough to do it, if I felt it necessary.
Ultimately, it would all depend on the nurse you were dangling in front of me.
So to speak.

So what will it take, boys? If I could get you all together, 'twould be so much fun!
You know, that would be a GREAT birthday present. Spending time with people who mean so much to me.

FGF field trip?
Went to buy tix for ACL today, and wow, they add $11 per ticket in fees. That's crazy! And I'm using the special advance purchase code which is only good online. I'd have to wait until Friday to buy tix in person, and am afraid I won't get good tix.

They have the FGF gift.
Images of a young DG as Dr. Frankenfurter are now preventing me from doing my work...

I think she was referring to me, actually. I'm not an adult. I'll turn 18 soon, but I still live at home, at least until school starts in August. I can vacate the thread, if need be. I apologize for bringing in my "childish antics." What was I thinking?
