Well, here we go. All the windows being replaced today. They've already been in the apartment twice doing their final measuring and inspecting. I'm not looking forward to the rest of the day (or tonight when we have to put everything back together again)

Counting the days... crawling toward the finish line (not that the work is ever really finished. We may be closed next week, but that doesn't mean I won't be working. Still, I won't be in the office!)

My niece is having her tonsils out today
Poor kid has had every bad cold and infection so the Doctor suggested having them out. What a way to kick off the Christmas break. Finish finals, come home and have your tonsils out.
I actually had mine out at the same age - the summer between my sophomore and junior years in college. Must run in the family.
Anyway, good thoughts to my sweet niece as she has to have this surgery today.
And lots of ice cream for her all week!

I escaped my never-ending 'To Do' list yesterday afternoon and took Mom to a wonderful concert with magnificent Ted Sperling, the heavenly Kelli O'Hara and the dreamy Ben Davis. Pure heartwarming joy.

Now it's back to my 'To Do' list...

Deet, hope all goes well today. That is a bear of a project. I don't envy you.

I think the next two on my classics list are An Affair to Remember & Charade. Unless you have other suggestions. I'm saving To Sir With Love until I can watch it with Boobs.

Addy - I had mine out at 16 but there was no ice cream, I think that is a lie, lol.

So I was out on Friday and I guess I missed a HUGE blowup during the day, but I didn't miss the screaming match that started this morning, yikes! (luckily I'm not involved). And we have our "holiday" wine in plastic cups later today so it should be incredibly awkward!

Interesting development over the weekend...

Earlier this year I made a few new friends I hung out with a lot for like 2 months, a male and a female. We even spent Valentine's Day togething united in single-dom. Ok, yes, i did develop a huge crush on the male at one point but it didnt go anywhere. We fell out of touch, but catching up 8 months later....

He found a gf shortly after, they are now pregnant and buying a house.

She met a man a few months later, and as of this weekend is now engaged.

I am still single and live with two cats.

Obviously, I missed whatever special shot was served at the bar that night, damn. Life is funny.

Morning peeps! On vacation....YIPPIE!!!!! I need to get ready. Picking Girly up to do some last minute shopping in Flemington. First we have to stop at EWR. I have an interview for Global Entry. If you go out of the U.S. a lot you should look into this. (Google: GLobal Entry "GOES") If I'm approved I won't have to wait on line when I come back to the U.S at customs. You get an ID card and go through a kiosk which is activated by your fingerprint from what I understand. I guess I'll find out more when I get there. *fingers crossed*

Good morning, peeps! I was up really late last night wrapping the gifts for the co-workers. Not a single gift is wrapped for the family. Office luncheon is today, but I can't go -- too much to do so that I can take next week off. Came home last night to find a note from my neighbor that he had pulled down my garage door manually -- seems it was open. I know it was closed when I left because I literally sit at the end of the driveway for a minute to make sure it's closed, EVERY time. Yes, I'm anal and paranoid. I took him over some champers to thank him. Luckily nothing was taken -- who know's how long it was open before he saw it. I live on a busy street. Then I realized yesterday that the car inspection is due, so I had to schedule that for this week. And, I'm down to the last pair of contact lenses, which means an eye appointment -- in the next two weeks, rotsa ruck. I hate the holidays!

Eye Appointment this afternoon. Acupuncture tomorrow. Annual Physical on Thursday. Dentists next week. Yep, it is year end.

I think I might be going to Scotland for two weeks in May. My best friends from law school are renting out a place and a driver for 2 weeks - I am actually thinking of going. I am in desperate need of a real vacation.

Who wants to come to LA for 2 weeks to take care of my beasts?
