Oh geez, Tink, you must have been hanging out with me. I started coughing and sneezing yesterday, sore throat by evening, full, nasty head cold today. I have to say, though, that I'm the perfect employee. I never get sick while school is in session - only during breaks. Good thing I have that trusty box of kleenex as my av!
Other than that *sniff*, good morning!
Morning peeps! It seems Tonky doesn't like to sleep past 7 a.m. Her meows,I mean, screams woke me up out of a sound sleep. She is now trying to pounce on Joop. This should be fun.
Joop 1 Tonky 0
My poor guy is also sick. He sounded horrible when we spoke last night. He texted this morning saying he feels horrible, but is pushing to go to work because there is too much to be done. Another real trooper!
Morning.
Zinc, ladies!! Make sure you eat first. I swear by it.
Christmas lunch with my birthday dinner peeps today.
I really need to wrap when I get home tonight. The only wrapping that's been done has been the stuff that I mailed out on Saturday and the gifts that I brought in here today. I am so not a wrapper-lover.
Feel better all sickies!!

Sinus infection, here. It doesn't help that the air conditioner (yes, I said air conditioner) is blasting down on me. Where's my little bottle of yellow magic?
Poddie, me too! I'm taking my Echinacea...usually helps.
Time for me to start my day. Gotta get the ingredients to make my campanata, that's what I'll be doing tonight.
Have a great day all!
Boobs, I had to check my message to make sure that I did not misspell anything.
I swear by Zicam. It seems to help shorten and weaken my colds.
I work today, annual physical tomorrow (after everything gets done, I feel like I need a cigarette and a shower so I take the day off), and then shortened day tomorrow.
I still have 3 contracts that have to be completed by year end (1 which I have no seen yet) - so bah humbug.
BTW - confirmed, am going to Scotland. Now I just have to get my passport reissued.
I think I am going to buy some Scotch to sample to get my taste buds ready!
You know, I was half asleep when I read his post, and didn't know what the heck he was talking about Why on earth he'd be willing to take care of your breasts. LOLOL!!

yay YWIW!!! That's awesome.
Moony - almost the exact same here. blargh. I barely slept all night. I have a holiday bar outing later to attend, I should be great company lol.
I hope we all feel better soon!

Tink - Nyquil has alcohol, just sayin'...
A co-worker (yes, I stopped into school) brought by homemade choclate amaretto biscotti. I can't taste them, but I'm inhaling them because I'm pretty sure they have zinc.
Moony, I just read back and saw the sad news about your former student. Such sad news. My sympathies.
I hope everyone who is under the weather feels better soon. Nothing worse than a cold this time of year when there is soooooo much to do and you want to enjoy a little break.
YWIW, am so happy that you gave the thumbs up to the plan to travel to Scotland. Absolutely beautiful country. My last name is Scottish - I have the Clan Crest, Tartan and alot of wonderful history.
I was able to steal time away from the office last night to attend a book-signing gathering with the incredible Judy Collins. Gorgeous and inspirational and she sang a bit of 'Both Sides Now'. Heaven. I was honored to be included among the guests, thanks to PalJoey! We then went to Lincoln Center for the Messiah Sing-In. Avery Fisher Hall filled with people singing it together. Really wonderful and a great way to just let everything else melt away for a few hours.
Today is my last day in the office for the year, so am trying to check things off my list, and make sure I have all the files I'll need to work from home next week. This. Year. Can't End. Soon. Enough.
Merry, Happy and Healthy day to all

Wow - what a great evening, Addy! Did PJ sing the Messiah, too?
OK, there's an ad on the right-hand side of my computer screen for Mucinex. How did they know?
Ack! I had that same cold for about three weeks. Sending you all healing hugs.
I work until Friday, and we are busy until then. Thankfully I leave the next day! Tonight we see Dina Martina's Christmas Show, one of the yearly traditions 'round these parts. If you haven't, you really should catch her show next time she's in NYC.
YWIW - Yay! So jealous, Scotland is in my bucket list, though Iceland is next year's bucket list item I'm taking out.
Targeted ads scare me...
He did, Moony! As did PalJoey's Pal. Nothing like the entire Hall singing together. One of my favorite events of the season. We should plan a Framily chorus next year.
DD, Counting the days until your trip! And Iceland next year sounds uber-cool.

OK, that's funny. What a way to celebrate the first night of Hannukah!
BTW - I just had a FB WTF moment. A classmate posted her family's holiday picture. I guess they do holidays a bit different in Arizona.
Wow. That's...disturbing.
My cellmate is a spazz. She couldn't figure out how to 'work' her Zip-It. LOL! I had to start it for her. I love how people think you're giving them one long ass zipper.

Having lived in Scottsdale, it doesn't surprise me a bit. My favorite part is the big cross hanging around her neck.
Exactly.
*the cows in Santa suits bring cocoa and set up.the tree*
But does Santa have a semi-automatic rifle?
Ack! That's horridly funny. I actually have nothing against responsible gun ownership. But seriously ... that's a bit too much. Was that a public post? I am going to "borrow" the photo ... too good to pass up.
Wow ... did a search for Scottsdale Gun Club Christmas, and the photos are mind-boggling.

"I fear for humanity more and more each day."
I feel that way sometimes, usually when I'm about to leave the house - but my fear is FOR them, not ABOUT them
