I tink I'd rather go to Scotland with you, you! Then I could cross the boarder and visit my personal goddess and her wife!
I'm technically off today, but popped into the office to take care of some last minute business. We lost one of alums last night. She was one of the best dancers I have ever seen and was on a full dance scholarship in college. When she was a student here she was choreographing by the time she was a sophomore. Incredibly talented young woman. The cause of death was a brain aneurysm. She was in the middle packing up to come home for the holidays. You just never know, do you? Anyway, we're busy contacting members of her class and her teachers, so that's why I'm in.
So sorry Mooney.
Most of us take the gift of time for granted.
Ugh, terrible news, Mooney, especially at this time of year. How difficult for the family. A good friend lost her father yesterday.
Week of madness before vacation - tomorrow Dina Martina Christmas Spectacular, Thursday cocktails with friends (and dinner somewhere ...), Friday I sleep early 'cause I'm picked up at 4:30 am to go to the airport to go home! I haven't been home for Christmas since 1999. I know!

Picked up at 4:30am? That means you're up before then! I hope you can snooze on the plane! How long is the trip to CR?

Moony, that is heart-breaking. I have a hard time trying to imagine that kind of irrevocable shock. Peace of mind and heart to all those affected, even if I really can't see how
YWIW - I exist now only as a tale of caution! I can tell you, though, that my BFF has wanted to relocate there ever since her first visit. She says it is 'pure' still - especially the air and the people.
Flight is at 8:00 - but I have to take the SuperShuttle and I live about an hour from the airport these days (which we're changing soon.) I arrive at 7:00 pm. I hope to catch some ZZzs, but I seldom do on airplanes.
Which reminds me I need to have jS put movies on my phone!
Wait ... two weeks in LA to watch the beasts? Hm ... I could get into that. We've been doing that with a friend when he travels.
I guess it will all depend on what's going on in May - right now everything is very uncertain for next year.
Q, it just kind of popped up. They have already made arrangements with a driver/van and a set tour, and if they add more people, it brings the price down a bit. Without airfare it is 1300 pounds - and will get cheaper as more people join (and then more expensive to include the single supplement). Plus airfare (which I think I can use miles for). So, I am really thinking about it. It just may unfortunately coincide with something else really important going on in May.
Moony, that is awful. I'm sorry to hear.
YWIW - that sounds like a great trip! I hope you are able to partake!
A small plane crashed about an hour ago on 287 by Morristown. This happens way too often in these parts lately (we have several small craft airports in the area). 287 is closed in both directions for who knows how long. traffic in NW NJ will not be pleasant today.
It's a good thing Girly didn't go to work today -- although it happened north of her route.
Mornin'
Moony, I'm so sorry to hear that. So sad.
I'm at school today for final student consultations -- only one showed up, and of course it was the one who's been working every last nerve since September, working 'em all the way up to the very last minute. But she's finally gone, she won't be in my class next semester and all that's left for me is the grading. Hehehehehehehe...
How's the apt, D2?
Almost completely back together. The big painting in the dining room needs to be re-hung, and the blinds need to be put back up but other than that it's pretty much back to normal. And the new windows are SO much better than the old ones. First of all, they open and close like a dream, and the apartment is much, much quieter now -- can hardly hear the street noises any more.
It was a pain in the ass to go through, especially at this time of year, but now it's done and it was worth it. I guess.
*the cows in their Santa suits bring cocoa . Why is the tree stillnot decorated?
Argh! Sorry for this rant - work has been getting pretty bad lately, I try to come in, do my work, and leave. Alas, there are days when I just want to scream. Coworker gives me a project, makes me revise it, twice, and when I give her another piece of the project she's redoing what I already gave her. Argh! I asked her, and she's said she could make it look better. Fine! Then don't ask for my help again. / end rant
… and can I just add I *love* being able to access BWW on my phone!

DD - just remember, in Costa Rica, she won't matter
Yep, that's what I keep telling myself. That and "get your resume and personal website updated already!"
So, I just ventured over to our training center in the building next door to deliver some prezzie's and met our newest hire. SWEET BABY JEEBUS! He's in his twenties, buzzed head, deep pool's for eyes and biceps that should have their own zip code.

Was Santa SOMMS able to pull out a quick prezzie for the nubile newbie?
intriging......
I'm sure he bats for your team, Tinky. I'll find out more in the many, many, many visits I'll be making over there the rest of the week.
Pictures!
I just finally caught up the days activities.
Moony, so sorry for your loss.
YWIW, Scotland sounds like fun! I'd like to take care of your breasts, but I'm too far away.
Addy, I got my Global Entry! It pays being a good boy
Tinky, I picked up the beaver. It's all cleaned and glazed now.
SOMMSY, I may take a ride to visit you at work.
Good morning, all and happy hump day (for those of you still working).
