Stupid ice. Why does 60 degrees feels so nice in the fall, but so cold when that's as high as the heat will go in a snow storm?

Shira, I can ski on skis ... walking on ice is difficult regardless. However, the deep snow today made for an easy walk to the cinema.

Hello Adults! The weather here, like most of the country is horrible. Busy weekend, we hosted a party that was a smashing success!

C10 and I are supposed to go to the Bears game tomorrow night, but it just might be too cold!

It was good. Friends came over yesterday, finished all of my shopping and wrapping, and other than the Zander being occasionally possessed by the devil (especially when there is paper or pretty gift bags around) all is well.

Last week was a crazy one for me, so this week should be a breeze by comparison!

I guess I am rooting for the Chargers, who now have a chance, if they beat Denver next week.

It continues to snow. I am pretty certain that I'm calling in tomorrow - will have to work from home, but there's no way I'm driving.

We're about to fly to Michigan. I'm sure we'll take off alright, but about our destination . . .

I'm going to request that the diversion target be Orlando. If we can't have the holliday we have planned, I could make do with DisneyWorld!

I am, I am! Not gonna lie, I'm snowed in and have a rather disgusting cold (my cough is rattling windows and my, er, cigarette habit isn't helping any) and I've exhausted Heroes and Ugly Betty and Perez and TMZ but I'm hopped up on so many cold meds, I need some mental stimulation. And that's why I'm here! :)

HA! Getting over a cold here, and the clove cigs are REALLY helping, as well

We're heading out for holiday celebrations in MICHIGAN, so we have no idea what we're in for, weather-wise. Other than COLD, and LOTS OF SNOW! At this point, I just hope our plane can land!

And, by the way, even though you responded without a hitch, I just want to make sure you know that this is 'DG'

Brave souls to travel. I had no idea there had been a strike in the de-icing industry and that's why there's not enough and flights are getting canceled.

Tiff! Fancy see you here. Don't'cha love our wintry weather? Our foray into Van is on hold since I've missed work and will prolly miss work this week. Not sure I can still take the 2nd off.

LOL! DG, it's funny you mention that - I had absolutely no idea who "Q" was but I'm too much of a neurotic Libra people-pleaser to be rude and ask if we knew each other! Clove cigarettes you say? Tell me more! (I'm thinking of taking up some other form of smoking that doesn't involve nicotine since I think I'm equally addicted to the habit.)

Are you going to snowy Detroit for the holidays?

Roy, I absolutely HATE our wintry weather! I'm such a "Bah, humbug" kinda gal to begin with and my tires are atrocious - I've been holed up in my apartment for 27 hours and counting now! Too bad you can't make your way up to Van over the holidays. Whenever you want, my queen bed (insert joke here) is always open to you and your man, and I'll sleep on the couch!

Is your show opening soon, hence playing hooky from work?

I'm mulling going to New York in early February too so I figured I'd pop on the boards and see what's hot right now. The only absolute on my list is EQUUS's closing performance and probably Shrek (because of the people I'm going with...and the cast is good). I need a bit of theah-tah edumacation and I haven't been to NY in ages (it seems)!
