Did the young folks break in again?

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

GUYS & DOLLS...the timeless musical.

Can't wait for BROADWAY'S LOST TREASURES to see "Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat"

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

...I just put it back to the beginning...

Well I think it's fine, building jumbo planes.
Or taking a ride on a cosmic train.
Switch on summer from a slot machine.
Yes, get what you want to if you want, 'cause you can get anything.

I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?

Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass.
For your lorry loads pumping petrol gas.
And you make them long, and you make them tough.
But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off.

Oh, I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?

Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air.
But will you keep on building higher
'til there's no more room up there?
Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry?
Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die?

I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?

...where do the children play?

that would be right HERE.

Because, we're all children at heart.

As I posted a few pages back...I relate to Bob Dylan when he sings...

"I was so much older then - I'm younger than that now!"

Since I have to go, I will leave you with this FAMILY GUY quote:

Stewie:
"Well, I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch."

I remember sitting on the porch of my grandfather's house and listening to the TOP 40 radio station on Sunday afternoons and hearing Three Dog Night...Tommy James and the Shondells...Bread
(If and Diary always make me cry)...hearing songs from that time make me think of summer.

boobs - that commercial was great!

another commercial I loved was the 'Funeral Procession' for Volkswagon.

(fair warning - I have an unfair advantage when it comes to TV ads...)

Always liked If and Diary. But for me summer will always be about Beach Boys music (Sadly I was named after Barbara Ann)

I love the line, because it's so true for me.."sometimes I wish, often I wish, that I never , never knew..some of those secrets of yours".
