Did the young folks break in again?
GUYS & DOLLS...the timeless musical.
Can't wait for BROADWAY'S LOST TREASURES to see "Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat"
We all got one...let's hear it for us..more Vevue for everyone.
...I just put it back to the beginning...
Well I think it's fine, building jumbo planes.
Or taking a ride on a cosmic train.
Switch on summer from a slot machine.
Yes, get what you want to if you want, 'cause you can get anything.
I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?
Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass.
For your lorry loads pumping petrol gas.
And you make them long, and you make them tough.
But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off.
Oh, I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?
Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air.
But will you keep on building higher
'til there's no more room up there?
Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry?
Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die?
I know we've come a long way,
We're changing day to day,
But tell me, where do the children play?
Oops, did I actually contribute to a discussion?
Umm...
Boobs are nice.
LOVE IT !!! Nyadgal is the TOP !!!
LOL...Cap is funny !!!!
...where do the children play?
that would be right HERE.
Because, we're all children at heart.
As I posted a few pages back...I relate to Bob Dylan when he sings...
"I was so much older then - I'm younger than that now!"

Otis Redding...left this earth too soon.
Since I have to go, I will leave you with this FAMILY GUY quote:
Stewie:
"Well, I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch."
Otis!!!
Is he gone????
Childhood is a gift that has been returned to me in the most unlikely places...

I remember sitting on the porch of my grandfather's house and listening to the TOP 40 radio station on Sunday afternoons and hearing Three Dog Night...Tommy James and the Shondells...Bread
(If and Diary always make me cry)...hearing songs from that time make me think of summer.

boobs - that commercial was great!
another commercial I loved was the 'Funeral Procession' for Volkswagon.
(fair warning - I have an unfair advantage when it comes to TV ads...)
Bread!! I adored them.
Summer songs - as soon as you hear them you are transported back in time!
Nothing like a melody...
Always liked If and Diary. But for me summer will always be about Beach Boys music (Sadly I was named after Barbara Ann)
That BREAD album I would say is a classic.
Listening to Carly Simon's "No Secrets" right now thanks to you NYadgal. Love this album too..another of my classic LP's

I love the line, because it's so true for me.."sometimes I wish, often I wish, that I never , never knew..some of those secrets of yours".
