Good morning Starshine(s)!

Did any of you watch the I Love the 70s on VH1 last night. I didn't get the chance--what a fun trip down memory lane that would be.

And, did you see that they are releaseing a "prequel" to The Exorcist? Wonder if they'll do one for "The Omen."

And, does anyone remember Barbie's best friend Midge who kinda faded away after a few years???

I gotta say, I always loved Barbie's ballgowns. :o)

Morning, beacon!

I had the 70's show on in the background...as I said a few days ago, I think TV Programmers are reading this thread...and getting their inspiration for what to put on the air from it!

Midge - I had a midge doll. She was sort of like Maryann was to Ginger. Or Betty was to Veronica.

I loved Barbie's ballgowns. One of my favorite Barbie outfits had a white stowl...so glam!!

The Omen was one of the scariest movies ever!

That dog...when the photographs were developed showing how people would die...the very end at the funeral! I didn't sleep for ages after seeing it!

And there was a Skooter doll (dark haired) that was a pal of
Skipper's.

My first Barbie was one with a fragile head that had molded on hair that looked like it was pinned up and then you put different wigs on her. My sister and one of my brothers knocked Barbie off the dresser and her head shattered when she hit the floor. I was inconsolable. Later I got a new Barbie with a rubber head...still the molded-on hair.

I had a Midge doll.
Technically, it was my mother's.
I preferred her to Barbie.

My mother also had these books, like "Barbie Goes Babysitting".
I loved that book.

Is anyone else really upset that Barbie and Ken broke up?

Yes, I was saddened to hear about Barbie and Ken's "amicable" split...thank goodness she has her career(s)to keep her mind off of things... Just how many things can that gal do?

This thread has grown so much bigger during teh night (cue naughty comments). I can't even keep up. Looks like a child infiltrated at some point.

I've been on an Abba kick lately. Listening to my Abba Gold cd over and over. I had forgotten jut how much fun their music is.
