Yep. Sure did. My parents insisted we watch it so that we would understand the premise of the sitcom.
I also remember them dragging me out of bed late one night to see Shirley Jones sing on the Tonight Show. They wanted to prove to me that she was more than "Shirley Partridge"...and then we also watched "Oklahoma" and "Music Man"...with my mother just muttering "and now she's Shirley Patridge..."
I remember the first time I recognized Yvonne DeCarlo in The Ten Commandments and realized she'd done more than "The Munsters"...

Where there any television stars that you were startled to find had movie careers, too?
I remember seeing Anna Maria Albergheti on a commercial and wondering who the heck she was...and my mother trying to explain her background.
And Rula Lenska...????

I was amazed to when I learned that Yvonne DeCarlo (Lily Munster) was on Broadway in "Follies"..didn't even know she could sing. Well, at least carry a tune.
I always asked myself, who the f*ck is Rula Lenska....
Or that cop from Law and Order.....wasn't he in something?
Oh yeah....Dirty Dancing!

My first introduction to the extraordinary Agnes Moorehead was as Endora on Bewitched.
Endora just never did take a shine to Durwood, did she?!!
Neither one of the Durwoods for that matter ... LOL
Which Dick did you like better? York or Sergant?
Joan Collins was in some horrid movie abot Egypt and the building of a pyramid. She was a "wife" of the pharaoh. Alas she gets greedy and steals a piece of jewelery meant for the burial & while over seeing the final burial of her husband, is buried alive with him as punishment. Bad movie, horrid acting, but believe it or not worth sitting through for the final 10 minutes.
Just googled it the title is "Land of the Pharoahs" 1955

"You just can't switch Dicks midstream and expect no one to notice!"
Remember Joan Collins in the original movie "Tales from the Crypt" ? Loved that movie growing up. Saw in the theatre the 1st time.
I agree DG ... you can confuse a child when you switch Dick's like that.
or joan Collins on the episode of Star Trek where Kirk goes back in time, falls in love and has to decide if she should die or not....

I was pretty shocked to find out what kind of career Shirley Booth REALLY had after seeing Hazel as a young boy.
I kind of liked York (the first Darrin) best. Which Dick did you like best?
Dick York, hands down -- just watched him in Inherit the Wind Sunday night
I really didn't care for either Dick, but if I had to choose a Dick, it would have to be York.
thank God you didn't say you don't care about ANY Dick, boobs, I would have been worried...
You'll never hear those words escape these perky lips.
thank goodness...I was getting worried!
Was there ever an explanation of why they changed Darrins?
Der Wienerschnitzel. Did they ever realize that hot dogs are not wienerschnitzel? And the correct article is not "der", but "das"?
Nope -- Dick York got sick and next season Dick Sergent shows up -- I can’t remember if it coincided with b/w to color (not that that would have been a reason, but it was the 60s), but just like a soap opera they just changed the actor
I forgot about her bway.... :)
