~ff~ I guess they decided to do "Judy's Turn To Cry" after "It's My Party" was released and a success and they released it as a single also. If you want I have a great collection of Lesley's hits and I'd be happy to make you a CD if you're not in a hurry because I have to do some searching.
BB You are the master of Google, who sang "You Don't Have to
Say You Love Me"? I remember singing it at a talent show eons ago anow I can't remember who sang it. (Must be getting old)
Thanks to any all that can help with my memory lapse.
Mom I don't even need to google this one because I love her..Dusty Springfield. I believe I have a rendition of this by Elvis too. I remember her as being the first though. Here are the lyrics for you..I just couldn't resist.
You Don't Have To Say You Love Me
(When I said I needed you,
You said you would always stay.
It wasn't me who changed but you,
And now you've gone away.
Don't you see that now you've gone,
And I'm left here on my own.
That I have to follow you,
And beg you to come home.
You don't have to say you love me, just be close at hand.
You don't have to stay forever, I will understand.
Believe me, believe me, I can't help but love you,
But believe me, I'll never tie you down
Left alone with just a memory,
Life seems dead and so unreal.
All that's left is loneliness,
There's nothing left to feel.
You don't have to say you love me, just be close at hand.
You don't have to stay forever, I will understand.
Believe me, believe me, believe me....
You don't have to say you love me, just be close at hand.
You don't have to stay forever, I will understand.
Believe me, believe me, believe me....
Dusty Springfield! (slaps my forehead DUH!). Thanks a bunch< you are such a sweetie!
Have you ever heard of the games "Encore" or "Song Burst"?
Too much fun especially after a pitcher of Pina Coladas!
We usually end up just pulling cards and seeing how many songs we can sing.
Mom..I have both those game and do the same thing..LOL !!!
Yeah it really upset Dave That I knew "Red sails in the Sunset"
How I did I have no darn idea. Because that song is wayyyy before my time.
I wouldn't have gotten that one. Although playing Trivial Pursuit one time my friends didn't believe I knew who sang "Wooley Bully" until I pulled out the 45 to prove to them I knew it was Sam the Sham and the Pharoes..they thought I cheated.
Undiscovered..you can throw questions at us and see if we know them..that'll be fun. Game night on BWW...LOL !!!!
Here is one gal who graduated from a Catholic Prep school who loved Zappa!
I graduated from a Catholic Prep school too, but wasn't into Zappa. *blushes in embarassment*

How about:
LI'L RED RIDING HOOD (Ronald Blackwell)
Owoooooooo!
Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood.
Hey there Little Red Riding Hood,
You sure are looking good.
You're everything a big bad wolf could want.
Listen to me.
Little Red Riding Hood
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky old woods alone.
Owoooooooo!
What big eyes you have,
The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad.
So just to see that you don't get chased
I think I ought to walk with you for a ways.
What full lips you have.
They're sure to lure someone bad.
So until you get to grandma's place
I think you ought to walk with me and be safe.
I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on
Until I'm sure that you've been shown
That I can be trusted walking with you alone.
Owoooooooo!
Little Red Riding Hood
I'd like to hold you if I could
But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't.
Owoooooooo!
What a big heart I have-the better to love you with.
Little Red Riding Hood
Even bad wolves can be good.
I'll try to be satisfied just to walk close by your side.
Maybe you'll see things my way before we get to grandma's place.
Little Red Riding Hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything that a big bad wolf could want.
Owoooooooo! I mean baaaaaa! Baaa?

Aren't you guys going further back in time? Isn't that 50's?
Could be Nina, but I am the baby of a very large Irish
Catholic family, so I grew up with all sorts of music around me.
For which I am very thankful.

We just stepped outside of the OT board messages to spend some adult time. Like being out on the porch--or in the teacher's lounge. :o)

good there are still some adults awake. I just got home and am bored to death. Only found the kids online.
RobbO I don't mean to be rude but... If you don't get the reference you don't belong in here!
Evening beacon and Nina
You know, when I first read it I knew exactly what it meant but, I can't put it into words. I think it's just a phrase or attitude I remember my parents and their friends using when they were sending the kids off to bed
It was one of my favorite lines from "A Chorus Line". When I first read the initial post I got a great giggle.
besides, in my house when the adults wanted to talk privately i was told to "go the hell to bed or else..."
That was said in my home too if there was no company.

My parents used to banish us to the masterbedroom that had a separate bath and a television. The four of us kids would stay down there when they had company, played cards, etc.
