*wipes away a tear*
You guys are the best. It's so nice to know that I'm with a group of "well-connected" and pro-active folks. :o)
I know just where to come if things escalate with this individual, haha. If time doesn't cool things off and return to normal I'll be sure to let you "organize" a little something... heh heh heh
*slaps own wrist*
And I used to be such a nice little girl scout. haha!

We just loved Urinetown (Dave and I were so bummedthat we missed it in NYC!) Erin almost had an ensemble member in her lap at the end of one of the numbers!
Stephen Patterson played the role of Bobby Strong and was in the Lobby after the performance, that made Erins' night. I think the song that has stuck with me the most is "I See A River".
All in all a great show.
I saw Urinetown off-broadway first and then saw it on Broadway. I enjoyed the Broadway version more. We were sitting in the 1st row for that one. Someone almost landed on my lap too. My favorite song of course is "Run,Freedom,Run".
Are you guys all hugging eachother without me?!?
Yeah - this place has become a wonderful refuge. I got really sucky news today, and as soon as I got home this is where I came first.
Undi - I hope you get the job you really, really want. If it doesn't pan out - I'm hiring! (Seriously.) And I've seen some of the worst applicants lately - do people not know how to write letters and prepare for an interview anymore?! If you want a career in television advertising, let me know. I need good people! (I'm a nice boss!)
Boobs - those movie references a page or two back...those brought back some big memories!
Oh, and beacon - I'm totally checking into that Hilton. When is my room ready?!
Hey NYadgal wouldn't that be fun if we all checked into the Hilton...God would we have a grand old time !!!
By the way...how's the pay in the television field anyway? I need to get out of Wall street. Does Matt Lauer need an assistant??? LOL !!!!
Hugs to you NY!! You were missed! I am also sooooo looking into that Hilton room!
B
And we know exactly how you would assist Mr. Lauer, now don't we?
And with this post I think I become a Star. Finally!

Hilton's are nice -- but aren't we at least worth the 4 Seasons in our grand days???
congrats, bwaygirl! I think that calls for a celebration.
Thanks! I'm always ready for a celebration.

No one ever needs a reason to drink champagne, but a reason makes it even more enjoyable.
Let's toast to making it through Monday.
Cheers!
Cheers to bdwaygirl and to me assisting Mr Lauer.
*Clicks glass with Jose'*
You GO GIRL! congrats -- clicking glass to you!
boobs - I'll tell him the plan as soon as he gets back from Greece. I'm sure he'll be thrilled!
but - what about me? I'm the one who's hiring...doesn't anybody want to work with me? You get to watch TV all day...
*clicks glasses with everyone* Thanks!
If I didn't have so many years invested where I am, NYadgal, I'd seriously consider it.

Can I watch in my Jammies???
And, can I take the job on the day that Patrick Wilson comes to promote the Phantom of the Opera movie? Last time he was on (for "The Alamo") Katie interviewed him. It's Matt's turn...
Matt, me, and Patrick. A nice combination. :o)
I'm an office assistant right now and my current job's focus is nowhere near as glamorous as yours NYadgal.

I'm toddling off to bed right now...but I wanted to leave you with this sing-along link to a tune my folks used to sing to us when we were little. Do you know it?
http://www.rienzihills.com/SING/mairzydoats.htm
Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey,
A kiddlely divey too, wouldn't you?
Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey,
A kiddlely divey too, wouldn't you?
If the words sound queer and funny to your ear,
A little bit jumbled and jivey,
Sing "mares eat oats and does eat oats
And little lambs eat ivy."
Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey,
A kiddlely divey too, wouldn't you?

Trust me - you get so sick of working with, talking about and analyzing tv all day that the last thing you want to do when you get home is watch it! Whenever I see an ad run in the wrong place or I see a client I've been trying to do business with on a competitive network it takes all the fun out of it! LOL!
beacon - that song is a classic! 'night!

NYadgal, a friend of mine must have played a similar role as your with one of the big 3 networks. he handled all advertising on all their sports programming, but wasn't a sales person.
I recall whenever I visited his office I would remark to myself at the time, how neat it must be to have a TV in one's office.
I don't think it neat now.
Just give me names and addresses Beacon. I'll take care of them personally.
Mom, nice to have you back. Hope you had a fantstic time.
NYadgal, I have friend looking for a new job if you're hiring.
God...I go answer the phone and this thread takes off.
Night Beacon.
Hi Nina and KMF.
Okay...I'll work with NYadgal if Matt doesn't want me. Sorry he has first shot.
