Hi everyone - just got home from dinner, and...addict that I am, signed right on to my computer.

Wanted to let you know that - the planets must be aligned - A&E's Biography tonight (on right now) is about the actors of THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY!!

They're exploring the times and the music...

It's this thread come to life!!!

I loved those 'ditto' papers...the purple ink.

I taught for a few years before I went into advertising (a LONG time ago), and remember that ditto machine - with the big roller and the special paper I had to use for my lessons...

Bboobs - back to your earlier message.

Cloth diapers. I remember them well. I was babysitter 'extodinaire' with the diaper pins. Never stuck a child...even when they squirmed! (So - some things do improve with age...those cloth diapers were a pain!)

The milkman and the milk bottles - and the metal milkbox by our side door...

Ah, yes - those were the days!

...I think there was something on Charlie Rose I was going to watch, but A&E has me hooked! My VCR is capturing it all!

Pajama party...absolutely!

OOOh - another memory: "Come As You Are Parties". You would try to call friends at funny times to 'catch' them in their jammies...

Remember before "caller id" when for kicks we would call like the bowling alley and ask the person if they had 50 pound balls and when they would say yes we would ask them how they could walk. Harmless fun.

Ok - this is too grown-up of me..but I have two TV's and two VCR's. One is set for Charlie Rose and one is set for Biography. And I'm on the computer.

Can you say plugged in??

Back to the past...they just mentioned the show Nanny and The Professor. I loved that show!

20/20 interviewing Sean Astin and him talking about his Mom and Dad..Patty Duke and John Astin. Loved the Patty Duke Show and Addams Family. Showing scenes from The Miracle Worker right now. WOW !!! Now showing clips from The Patty Duke Show...my God I'm in heaven.

I'm glad to hear that - I always liked him.

I have a fun David Cassidy story.

My roommate played Linda in Blood Brothers on Broadway - with David and Shaun Cassidy. I was working for Nick-At-Night at the time, so we scheduled a "Partridge Family" night - and hosted a dinner and took clients to see the show on Broadway. Shirley Jones came and my roommate arranged for us all to go backstage after the show - and then the cast and our clients went out for drinks after the show. I felt like a giddy 12-year old when I told David Cassidy that he and I have the same birthday and that I'd always been so 'cool' in school because of that! Fun night - and I saw the show a bunch of times from backstage while I hung out with my roommate...and never got tired of seeing David!!
